XENIA — Greene Health Partners and Kettering Health Network announced a partnership deal Tuesday that calls for a renovated and expanded Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia and improvements to other health care services.
"This is a done deal," said Michael Stephens, Greene president and chief executive, after a news conference Tuesday in the hospital's auditorium.

The networks will pump at least $10 million into renovating the 56-year-old Greene Memorial and other Xenia facilities.
The agreement adds to Kettering's market share, makes Kettering a six-hospital network and expands the network's employee base to 8,200. It also adds resources that improves Greene's ability to draw top medical talent and technology.
"We are going to create a future for Greene County that is not only going to fulfill, but exceed the expectations you have for your community," Kettering network chief Frank Perez told the audience.
The news comes one year after Greene announced a tentative affiliation with Premier Health Partners, parent corporation to Good Samaritan, Miami Valley and Middletown Regional hospitals.
That deal fell through, largely over issues surrounding Greene Memorial's future in Xenia and the size and scope of the agreement, officials with both networks said.
"We certainly have a high regard for the Greene management team. We wish them well," Premier spokesman Mark Feighery said.
