DAYTON — NCR Corp. on Thursday launched a suite of contactless payment terminals that enable mobile and contactless payment at the point-of-sale, including retail checkout, restaurant drive-through and at diner's tables.

Demonstrations of the new technology will take place during the National Retail Foundation's Annual Convention & Expo Jan. 13 through Jan. 16 in New York.

"NCR's unparalleled experience in payment transactions, combined with ViVOtech's expertise in contactless technology, provides retailers with the latest contactless payment options and a platform for future near field communication applications," said Greg Egan, NCR vice president for retail assisted service solutions.

In addition to helping merchants with mobile payment programs, the new line of contactless readers "will provide a new level of service to their customers."

The new contactless payment products are compatible with a variety of other NCR solutions, including NCR RealPOS (point-of-sale) workstations, NCR EasyPoint kiosks and NCR FastLane self-checkouts, in addition to NCR and partner point-of-sale software applications.

NCR's contactless solutions are supported by the company's global services team, which offers a portfolio of services, including consulting, deployment, integration, hosting and support.
