WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The F-22 Raptor, the Air Force's supersonic stealth fighter aircraft, will make its first appearance at the Vectren Dayton Air Show this summer, the show's promoters said Tuesday.
Two of the planes will be at the air show July 19-20 at Dayton International Airport. One will be displayed on the ground both days and the other is to be flown for air show spectators both days by Air Force Maj. Paul Moga from the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base, Va.

Air show officials made the announcement at a news conference in the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, in front of the F-22 Raptor that the museum placed on display Jan. 17. The Raptor is a key part of the nation's ongoing effort to modernize its fleet of warplanes.
A featured performer at the air show will be aerobatic stunt pilot Sean D. Tucker, who with his Team Oracle Extreme will fly his custom-built, 400-horsepower Challenger II biplane in loops and even backward, air show officials said. Tucker, 55, of Salinas, Calif., has been flying at air shows since 1975.
He has appeared at least eight times in the Dayton Air Show, Tucker said during an appearance at the news conference. Tucker said he still considers it an honor to perform in Dayton, aviation's birthplace and home of the Wright brothers.
"There's so much history here in Dayton," he said.
The air show weekend will be a double feature for Tucker, who also is to be inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame on July 19 as one of four people who will join the hall's 195 previous enshrinees.
Other performing acts announced on Tuesday for this year's Dayton Air Show include the Misty Blues All-Woman Skydiving Team, the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team and NeXplore Shockwave.
