Child care a plus for Riverside call center
Sunday, April 20, 2008
An unusual business expansion caught my attention this week.
This one does not yield services or products that other businesses or consumers can use but it does show one company's efforts to provide employee amenities that promote work/life balance.

InfoCision Management Corp. this week is celebrating the opening of an on-site child care center for its employees at its Riverside call center.
The InfoKids Early Learning Childcare Center is the company's first such facility. If the model is successful in Riverside,
InfoCision plans to expand on-site child care to other locations, the company said.
The company describes the center as state-of-the-art with a 6,400-square-foot space providing indoor and outdoor play areas. The center also features a wide variety of educational toys and equipment including touch screen computers, the company said.
"Providing on-site child care is an amenity we have been talking about for some time and it's exciting to finally see it up and running," said InfoCision Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Steve Brubaker in a press release.
The total investment for the child care center in equipment and building upgrades was more than $450,000, the company said.
The Montgomery County Business First! Edge program provided funds to help finance the expansion.
The InfoKids Center will employ about 20 people total for day and evening shifts when it is at full staff. The company is seeking to hire lead and assistant teachers. Anyone wanting more information on these jobs can call Tojuan Minus at (877) 543-7850.
