New restaurant planned for Riverside

Staff Report

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Plans are under way to replace a failed Pinky's chicken-wing restaurant with a new Popeye's chicken eatery at the intersection of Airway Road and Woodman Drive.

The time frame for construction will depend on when the Brutus Group, a Popeye's franchise holder for the Dayton area, obtains financing for the project, said Bob Zavakos, a principal with NAI Patterson Maas Blank Zavakos, a commercial real estate brokerage company. The site covers one-third of an acre.

Extras

The Brutus Group's operations include Popeye's restaurants on Salem Avenue in Dayton and on Wilmington Pike in Centerville, Zavakos said.
