Wright-Patt recognized for home lending

FAIRBORN — Wright-Patt Credit Union says it has been recognized by Freddie Mac for its increased mortgage originations and improved mortgage-processing practices.
The credit union was named a 2007 Prime Alliance Lender of the Year by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., Wright-Patt executives said in a news release.
In 2007, Wright-Patt's mortgage department generated 830 mortgages totaling more than $86 million, the credit union said. Of those, 339 mortgages, totaling $31 million, were for first-time homebuyers.
