TROY — Fricker's will open its newest — and largest — restaurant in Troy at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The 9,500-square-foot restaurant is at 1187 Experiment Farm Road, west of I-75. It will seat 238 in its dining room, plus another 66 on a patio and 120 in a banquet room.

It is the largest of the 19 restaurants in the West Carrollton-based chain of sports bars/casual dining spots, according to Jim Manley, Fricker's marketing manager.

"We've been looking for the right location in the Troy area for about six years," Manley said Friday, Aug. 29.

The new restaurant will employ 80 to 100 people, most of them part time, Manley said.

Frickers has 16 restaurants in Ohio, two in Indiana and one in Michigan. The restaurants' specialty is chicken wings, and it caters to families, with kids 10 and under eating for free with an adult meal purchase. The new Troy restaurant has the largest game room geared toward children of any in the chain, Manley said.

But the games aren't limited to children: The new Fricker's will also offer Keno and all other Ohio Lottery games, Manley said.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. seven days a week, with the bar staying open until 2:30 a.m.
