Colletti wins statewide respiratory care award

KETTERING — Nancy Colletti of Kettering College of Medical Arts is the Ohio Society for Respiratory Care's Ohio Education Practitioner of the Year.
"I was very surprised to hear I was nominated, and even more surprised to hear my name called as the winner," said Colletti, an associate professor and chair of the respiratory care department. "I tend to be an under-the-radar type of person. If I see a job that needs to be done, or if I see an opportunity to contribute, I'll just roll up my sleeves and jump in there until I've done the best I can."
The society's board of directors chose Colletti from seven nominees based on of leadership, mentorship, clinical expertise, team building, professionalism and community involvement.
She serves several functions for the society: chair of both education and the scholarship committee and member of the program planning committee.
