MTS to close Huber Heights terminal

HUBER HEIGHTS — Martin Transportation Systems will permanently close a facility on Executive Boulevard, the company has told Ohio government.

The move will affect more than 100 workers, Frank Gambish, Martin senior vice president of operations, wrote in a letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

The closure will affect 91 truck drivers, seven mechanics, six managers/dispatchers and a terminal manager, the company said.

The Byron Center, Mich.-based company has ten terminal locations, operating 700 trucks and 1,700 trailers in Fort Wayne, Ind. Flint and Lansing, Mich., Toledo and other locations.
