Robots dancing to "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies," the "Star Wars" theme and the Styx song "Mr. Roboto?"
That's what the University of Dayton has planned for the demonstration and dedication of its Motoman Robotics Lab, set to begin at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.
The Motoman Robotics Lab can be found in Kettering Labs Room 232, UD said in an announcement.
On hand will be Joe Saliba, interim UD provost; Don Moon, chair of UD's electrical and computer engineering department; Raul Ordoñez, UD associate professor of electrical and computer engineering; Steve Barhorst, Motoman president and Trent Fisher, SAS Automation president.
From 3:30-4 p.m. will be the dedication of Motoman Robotics Lab, UD said.
Two Ohio companies — SAS Automation and Motoman — have made investments and contributions valued by the companies at more than $500,000, UD said.
The robots will provide academic and research benefits to the university and Ohio, UD said.
