Digital Controls Corp. hires former Dell executive

MIAMISBURG — Digital Controls Corp. said it has hired Kent Landry, formerly of Dell, to manage a newly created division that could create an additional eight to 10 jobs.
A majority of those new jobs likely will be in the Dayton area, said Joel Vedder, vice president of corporate marketing. The company now has about 50 employees.
Vedder said the new job of senior vice president and general manager of the Managed Print Group appealed to Landry, formerly Dell's director of managed print services in the North American market. That's because it involves Digital Controls putting itself in a customer's shoes and finding the best solution for their printing needs instead of maximizing sales of a particular brand of equipment to those customers, Vedder said.
Digital Controls Corp., 444 Alexandersville Road, has been in business since 1967.
