Janney to turn up on ‘Lost’
Allison Janney will make a prominent guest appearance on the Tuesday, May 11, episode of “Lost” at 9 p.m. on ABC.
Launched in 2004, the series is nearing its promised two and a half-hour finale on May 23.
Janney’s debut on the show will be a “pivotal” one, according to people.com, which reported she would have something to do with explaining the origins of two mysterious characters. Series producers have said none of the regular characters from the first five years of the program will appear on the episode.
As it approaches its conclusion, the show has been killing off main characters. Three met their ends on Tuesday, May 4.
Dayton-born Janney, who has also starred in films and on the New York stage, is best known for her award-winning run on television’s “The West Wing.”
