Online auction bids open until Dec. 5
A Mae West jug, tattoos, theater tickets, paintings, prints, an Andy Warhol area rug, signed books by Katrina Kittle, shopping sprees, food, lodging, gift baskets and a wide range of services are among the items up for bid in the Victoria Theatre Association’s online auction.
“Spotlight Specials,” a fund-raising sale for the VTA’s Discovery Series, will continue through Dec. 5.

TweetDayton Opera lists stars for gala
A dozen artists who have starred in previous Dayton Opera productions or will be featured in coming ones will perform in the company’s 50th anniversary Star Gala.
Just announced, the lineup for the May 22, 2011, golden anniversary event at the Schuster Performing Arts Center will include:
Tenors Scott Piper and Gary Briggle, sopranos Mary Wilson, Indira Mahajan and Emily Pulley, mezzo-sopranos Elena Bocharova and Layna Chianakas, baritones Andrew Garland, Lester Lynch and Curt Olds, bass Kenneth Shaw and pianist Howard Watkins, a Dayton native who played for the 2010 Star Gala.
