3 nearby museums recommended
Museums in three states that border Ohio have been listed among USA Today’s “10 Great Places to See Art in Smaller Cities.”
The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute, Ind., and the Speed Art Museum in Louisville are all on the list.
The Warhol Museum currently has an exhibit the Dayton Art Institute presented in 2007, “Marilyn Monroe: Life as a Legend.”
Others are: Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library on the Henry Francis du Pont estate in Winterthur, Del.; the Dali Museum, Sarasota, Fla.; the Honolulu Academy of Arts; Tacoma (Wash.) Art Museum; Fenimore Art Museum, Cooperstown, N.Y.; Rahr-West Art Museum of Manitowoc, Wis.; and the Des Moines (Iowa) Art Center.
