Culture Works search in final weeks
Culture Works, which opened its annual united arts campaign Jan. 27 in Dayton, hopes to hire a new president and chief executive by the end of February.
Search committee chair Steve Petitjean, a senior vice president for Fifth Third Bank, said there has been “no shortage of talent” interested in the position.
“We had a diverse pool of 60 to 70 applicants from the arts and business. We’ve narrowed that to seven and we’re in the process of doing second and third interviews now,” he said.
“We hope to choose two or three finalists by the second week of February and to hire the new CEO by the end of February.”
Kathy Hollingsworth, a partner with Innovative InterChange Associates and a former president of National City Bank, has been interim CEO since Denise Rehg left in July 2010 to take an executive position with United Way in Columbus.
Rehg, who took the top post at Culture Works in May 2004, was paid $85,500 in the year ending June 30, 2009, according to federal tax records.
