You know what a doobie is, right? Just go to the Fraze and breathe deeply.

FYI, Tom Johnston is still fronting the band, with 2 other original members. Johnston was the lead singer before Michael McDonald. Should be a good show.

Count me in. Saw them in 2007 and they sounded like they hadn’t changed since the 70s! Their new studio album is superb…

Would be an awesome show….With Michael. How do they sound without him? Same? Different? Worse? Certainly couldn’t be better.

@Noneya: This is kinda like the debate of who do you like better, Ginger or Mary Ann, or Samantha or Jeannie. If you like the “old” Doobie Bros (“China Grove”, “Black Water,” “Listen to the Music”) then this is a great concert for you. If you like the more “soulful” Doobies of the Michael McDonald era, you may not like the concert. It is all taste. For me, the Johnston era was much better than McDonald.

Based on the Fraze schedule over the years I have to assume that their target demographic is a good deal over 50. I guess that gives me a decade or so before they start booking bands I have any interest at all in seeing.

@Pharrell: Duh. The target audience is: People who act responsibly, dont start fights, and spend money at concessions. Normally those are people in the 40+ age category. What a dumb #%#…

Can I interest you in re-reading my original post then explaining how your response makes any sense at all? Or I can try it again with smaller words if that will help. Your call.
