Bengals camp: Chad in midseason form, offense clicking
Apparently Hollywood has been good to Chad Ochocinco.
Missing voluntary workouts earlier this year hasn’t hurt the Pro Bowl wide receiver one bit, says NFL insider Carlos “Big C” Holmes, who’s spending every day with the Bengals this week during their 3-day mandatory minicamp.
“Chad’s in midseason form,” Holmes told me during a break in the action.
A few other tidbits from Holmes:
Despite the learning curve involved with installing a new offense, Bob Bratkowski’s crew is clicking on all cylinders. “It’s just the way the first unit looks with Carson throwing the ball,” Holmes said. “As a unit they look great.”
Running back Bernard Scott has been hobbled by an ankle injury, opening the door for Cedric Peerman. Holmes says Peerman is showing off his slashing and cutting ability.

Isn’t it a little early to be in midseason form? Hope those legs of Ochocinco don’t get too worn out by the end of the season.
