TweetOwens will be fashionably late to Bengals camp
Terrell Owens will be fashionably late to Bengals training camp.
The newly acquired wide receiver missed his flight, which means he won’t appear before the media this morning in Georgetown, Ky., according to the Associated Press.
The team now plans to have Owens take part in the evening practice from 7-9 p.m., then address the media.
Competition at wide receiver will be fierce in camp and the first cut has already been made.

TweetBengals sign Texas teammates Shipley, Muckelroy
Third-round pick Jordan Shipley has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting.
The Bengals have also signed linebacker Roderick Muckelroy of Texas, one of two Cincinnati fourth-round selections in the 2010 draft, according to a press release from the team. Muckelroy was the 131st overall selection.
Muckelroy was a two-time first-team All-Big 12 selection for Texas. He led the team in tackles each of the last two seasons, as the Longhorns compiled a 25-2 record. Last season, he contributed to a national best rushing yield of 72.4 yards per game.

TweetBengals sign third-round pick
The Bengals have signed cornerback Brandon Ghee of Wake Forest, one of two Cincinnati third-round selections in the 2010 draft, according to a press release from the team.
Ghee (pronounced “JEE”) was the 96th overall selection. Ghee (6-0, 190) was a three-year starter for Wake Forest teams that reached two bowl games. He rated as one of the fastest and most athletic cornerbacks of the 2009 college crop and had a 4.39 clocking in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.
“We’re excited to work with a player who has the kind of tools Brandon brings us,” said Bengals secondary coach Kevin Coyle. “When you look at the whole picture — his speed and size, good hands and feet — it’s pretty impressive.”
Ghee is the fifth of Cincinnati’s 2010 draft selections to sign. Also signed are DT Geno Atkins of Georgia (fourth round), G Otis Hudson of Eastern Illinois (fifth round), WR Dezmon Briscoe of Kansas (sixth round) and C Reggie Stephens of Iowa State (seventh round).

TweetBengals extend Georgetown, waive center
The Bengals and Georgetown (Ky.) College have agreed on a one-year extension of the team’s contract to hold training camp at the College’s East Campus Athletic Complex, according to a press release from the team.
The agreement now runs through 2011, and 2011 will mark the Bengals’ 15th consecutive year in Georgetown.
“We’re happy to join our good friends in Georgetown to announce that our partnership will reach the 15-year mark,” said Bengals vice president Troy Blackburn. “The length of the relationship is reflective of the college’s excellent facilities and professional staff. We remain convinced of the benefits of starting our season in a camp situation, and Georgetown provides us with exactly what we need, including a location (one hour from downtown Cincinnati) that makes camp visits possible for many of our fans.”
Georgetown College athletic director Eric Ward said, “We are excited about our continuing relationship with the Bengals and look forward to a fifteenth year. It will be our goal, just as it has been for the past thirteen years, to create a suitable environment for the Bengals to prepare for a Super Bowl run and the fans to enjoy a unique training camp experience.”
On Wednesday of next week, head coach Marvin Lewis will welcome players for the club’s 14th camp in Georgetown. The Bengals held their first camp in Georgetown in 1997, following 29 seasons at Wilmington (Ohio) College.

TweetWhat do you want to ask Bengals’ coaches?
Here’s your chance to get your question answered by one of the Cincinnati Bengals coaches.
Our NFL guru, Carlos “Big C” Holmes, expects to have an opportunity next week to talk with one - or possibly all three - of the men we second-guess every week.
We want to give you the chance to submit questions that you think Big C should ask offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski, head coach Marvin Lewis or defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.
Post your question below in the comment section and we will pick a few we think are the best. We’ll do our best to get those questions answered.
Only serious, thoughtful football-related questions will be considered.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

TweetBengals add NFL RedZone to stadium screens
If you’ve ever been to a Bengals game, you know how isolated you can feel within the confines of Paul Brown Stadium.
In the past, the stadium operators have done a pretty bad job of keeping fans updated on scores of other games and you can forget about getting any stats.
Well rejoice fantasy football fans because PBS is finally going to join the modern era this season by adding NFL RedZone coverage within the stadium.
Check out this release from the team:
BENGALS ADD NEW FEATURES TO FAN EXPERIENCE
The Bengals today announced that Paul Brown Stadium will offer the NFL RedZone as a new service for all home games this season. The service will be free to fans and will provide fans with an enhanced game day experience.
For home subscribers on cable and satellite systems, NFL RedZone provides continuous live highlight coverage on game days. NFL RedZone’s live feed will be broadcast on numerous screens throughout Paul Brown Stadium’s concourse and concession areas, and in their seats, fans will enjoy RedZone updates and multiple highlight packages, broadcast on the stadium’s JungleVision video boards.
“Our focus is creating the best possible environment for our fans,” said Katie Blackburn, Bengals executive vice-president. “NFL RedZone has proven to be one of the most popular new products in sports television, and we’re excited to bring it to our most loyal fans — the ones in the stadium on Sundays.”
Also this season, the PBS scoreboards and ribbon boards will feature enhanced in-game reports on player and game statistics from other NFL action.
“We believe this information is what fans are looking for during the game,” said Blackburn, “and particularly so in the case of fantasy football players. Again, we want our fans to have the best of both worlds — all the information from other games while also being able to enjoy the unique and unmatched experience of seeing our games in person.”
As has always been the case at Bengals home games, full replays of all the in-stadium action will be provided on the JungleVision video boards.
