Bengals sign pass rusher McCray

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the Cincinnati Bengals have signed defensive end Bobby McCray to beef up its pass rush.

McCray was waived by New Orleans on Sept. 3 after starting 32 games and recording 7 1/2 sacks over the previous two seasons with the club.

The 29-year-old Florida product started his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he had 22 sacks in four seasons, including 10 in 2006.

McCray’s agent wasn’t available for comment.

The Bengals rank 12th in the NFL in pass defense.

Representative from Rosenhaus Sports confirmed today that their client Bobby McCray did not sign after taking a scheduled flight to meet with the team on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Instead, the team signed free agent defensive end Victor Adeyanju and placed DE Jonathan Fanene on the Reserve/Injured list.

7 games too late to matter.

Four weeks ago I predicted Bengals would not win another game and even though they play the Bills this Sunday with a new pass rusher they will lose once again. Get rid of the team itself

Is this for sure? I’m not reading this anywhere else. It may be too little, too late and looks like a typical lame Bengals move.

But they’ll still be the Bungles. I’m proud to be a life-long fan of a team that doesn’t stink
