A Thanksgiving message from Barbara Ehrenreich…

Here is the author Barbara Ehrenreich’s Facebook greeting for the holiday today:

“Who to thank: Not God, but the people who picked the cranberries, plucked the turkeys, trucked them to the supermarket, stocked them on the shelves, etc., etc. — all for way less pay than they deserved!”

p.s. Thanks, for reading….

“Who to thank, not God…” B. Ehrenreich. “Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits and humbly to implore His protection and favor….To recommend to the people of the United States a day of public THANKSGIVING & PRAYER….” A.Lincoln. I think I’ll follow Mr Lincoln’s thoughts. Perhaps Ms Ehrenreich would be well served to do as her surname dictates and honor richly her Lord and Savior… or not, we’re all thankful to be in a great country where one is free give thanks however one wishes.

Barbara always has her own unique perspective and she has plenty of people who disagree with her. She is a lightning rod for controversy. I respect her intellect and her concern for those who are suffering during this current economic crisis. For the less fortunate this can be a difficult time during holidays.

I believe I will also thank God who gives the breath to work those feats for the feast…Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for sharing Vic. Ms. Ehrenreich’s thoughts are so appropriate for Thanksgiving…NOT. I’ll continue to thank God for His love and provision.
