Actually, Irish, Garry Wills is not a New Yorker. He’s very much the Chicago guy and proud of it, just like Obama is proud of his adopted hometown. Wills teaches in Chicago and that is very much a part of his identity as a writer and critic.

Garry Wills comes from a very strong religious background. It’s funny how some people mistake Christians for liberals when it comes to stuff like wars and feeding the poor. In fact, one of Garry’s first jobs was working at the National Review after being hired by William F. Buckley Jr. personally! Since then he’s written dozens of books, mostly about history and religion.

During the campaign, Obama supported the war in Afghanistan. So now, by continuing to support it, he has somehow betrayed Gary Wills. Sounds like Wills is a world-class twit.

That’s hilarious, crying in his soup already, that what he gets for “voting with his heart and not his head” typical “do as I say not as I do” whining Liberal, that mean tyrannical Iraqi government and those corrupt Afghans and all of those darn schools that they opened up for the previously uneducated little girls of Afghanistan, do gooders like Gary Wills are complete hypocrite’s.
