Show of the Week: Grizzzzy Bear at Blind Bob’s

I have a not-so-secret crush on Dayton-based Squid’s Eye Records. So, whether fair or unfair, when a Squid’s Eye band is performing they have the ride-a-way on the ‘Show of the Week’ Local Music Blog super-highway.

Saturday, May 16th, Squid’s Eye band Grizzzzy Bear is playing at Blind Bob’s with Marijuana Johnson.

This show can best be described as good clean fun for all.

Grizzzzy Bear is solo project of Jet Kid Committee and Astro Fang band-mate Brian Baker. The music is electro-pop filled with one-liners and strategically placed noise.

While at the show pick up Baker’s latest release entitled Passing: Rares and Uncommons.

Visit www.myspace.com/grizzzzybear for more.

Also, do not forget that this is an Urban Nights Weekend. Be downtown on Friday night and experience local music and art on many venues and street corners.

Light Up Dayton photo contest at the Kettering Tower: approximately 400 entries, including the winners

City Life 2009: 15 life-sized sculpture throughout downtown plus a new, 25-foot sculpture of King Lear on Courthouse Square.
