Fortune Rumors listening party on Saturday

Two weeks ago Dayton indie-pop band the Smug Brothers posted their 6th and final Fortune Rumors EP at Fictionband. All 6 EP’s can be downloaded at Fictionband for free.

The band will be releasing a full-length version of Fortune Rumors on Squid’s Eye records in August. The band is also set to release a single for the song Interior Magnets. The single will feature three unreleased tracks from the band.

To celebrate the big Smug Brothers news the Buddha Den music blog is hosting a Fortune Rumors listening party at the South Park Tavern on Saturday, June 27th.

Fans can hear the new LP and (hopefully) snag a copy of the Interior Magnets single.

Performing at the party will be the Motel Beds and Captain of Industry.

(Rumor is the Motel Beds are in the process of recording, and may have some free discs to hand out at the show as well.)

The Smug Brothers will not be playing on Saturday, but the band is set to perform at the 2nd annual Bellbrook Jamboree on July 18th.
