WCTP to feature Sheriff Jones and U.S. Senate candidate

Near the end of September, the West Chester Tea Party will feature Dr. Michael Pryce, an independent candidate for the U.S. Senate. He is also the author of “Anathema! America’s War on Medicine.”

Pryce - according to a West Chester Tea Party e-mail on Aug. 31 - will speak about “what is wrong with our current health care system, and what it will take to fix it” from the perspective of a practicing physician.

Then Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones will speak on immigration, including “the problems it causes and how it effects you from both a personal and financial perspective.” (from the same West Chester Tea Party e-mail)

A Q&A will follow both presentations.

The West Chester Tea Party meeting starts at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at Lakota West Freshman School, 5050 Tylersville Road, West Chester Twp. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m.

So, will you attend? If so, what do you hope to hear? What do you want to ask?

Sheriff Jones should run for public office. He’s the only one that has enough guts to speak up about the issues in the City of Hamilton.

Terra- Evidently you don’t go to the polls too often. The job of Sheriff is a public office. Actually it’s pretty gutless to take issue with a city that isn’t under his direct jurisdiction. As a matter of fact there are lots of problems in Butler County that Sheriff Jones has yet to address. One being why he doesn’t go after business owners who not only illegally hire illegal immigrants but who don’t pay taxes on those same employees. He has allowed illegal businesses to create a safe haven for the very illegal immigrants he claims are ruining our country.

The “safe haven” has been created by Clinton, Bush, and now Obama. As far as illegal immigrants ruining the country, how you liking those bedbugs? Maybe you will appreciate the situation better when start having more TB out breaks.

My hero! I’ll attend, and so will most of the members of my family. If the subject matter turns to illegals, I do plan to ask him why he doesn’t target business owners who hire illegals. Saturday night I threw out a guy who came to give me an estimate for painting my house because he started telling me how proud he was of the good work his crew of illegals did. He was also proud of the fact that he could underbid everyone else! I don’t think he was proud of anything when I showed him the door though!

The Sheriff has jurisdiction anywhere in Butler County. Protocol is such that he does not, but if his Dept felt they needed to step into a situation or an investigation, he could do so. A tidbit for you also, the coroner is the chief law enforcement officer in the County, even over the Sheriff if he wanted to.

Someone please ask Sheriff Jones what Boehner promised him to not run against him in the Primary. Sounds like a Sestak/Spector situation right here in our backyard. Details please.

Facts- Perhaps then you noticed I stated, ” Actually it’s pretty gutless to take issue with a city that isn’t under his direct jurisdiction”. Municipalities with their own law enforcement have jurisdiction. As you say if the Sheriff deems them ineffective or corrupt he may intercede and assume juridiction for LE. Most commonly this occurs when the Municipality is overwhelmed and requests county assistance.

Old Spotlight can create new facts and figures and educate with more fiction and hype. This man is a legend in his own mind.

The Sheriff is nothing more than a self absorbed narcicist. Have you ever heard him speak without saying huh? This guy is constantly on Willie Cunningham’s show tooting his own horn.He acts as though he cares about his deputies but he couldn’t even remember the name of the deputy that got shot.He had to turn to one of his flunkies and ask his name.

If “Jonesie” were at his desk doing his elected duty and not campaigning for his own agenda..himself..and not letting others do his job for him, i.e. Norm “Six Figures” Lewis an Tony “Little Big Man” Dwyer,(to name a couple), there might be a less crime in Butler County and a few more deputies employed instead of illegals hired by local merchants. Jones and his gang do pretty much what they please and we pay for it..all with the blessings of other self-absorbed so called celebs like Billy C.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is making national headlines while poor little Sheriff Rickie is stuck talking to the local Tea Party. Get with it Spotlight Rick and make some real headlines, do your job instead of running your mouth. You talk and talk illegal immigration but never do anything about.

So many people are complaining about local merchants/business owners hiring illegals. If you have information - NAME names. Otherwise, please don’t whine about others not fixing the problem.

Never did like the Sheriff. Can’t imagine having tea with him. We need the days back when Carpenter was in.

One thing has come out of Spotlight Jones being sheriff, Butler Countians no longer make jokes about Dick Holzberger being the worst sheriff the county has ever had. Rickie has clearly taken that position away from Dick.
