Dethroned beauty queen regrets sex tape, says she was ‘Palinized’

In a strange interview on the “Today Show” Tuesday, Nov. 10, dethroned Miss California Carrie Prejean promoted her new book while bashing the media and admitting she made a sex tape or ‘whatever’ you want to call it.

“If you want to call it a sex tape that’s fine,” Prejean said of the tape she sent to a boyfriend at age 17. “It was me by myself. There was no one else with me. I was not having sex.”

She said the tape was made for private use.

Before going on and on about both protecting free speech and how wicked her critics were for speaking their minds, Prejean said making the sex or ‘whatever’ tape was the biggest mistake she’s ever made.

“I think that a lot of young people can learn from this. And nothing is private anymore. Nothing is private. But the biggest thing and the reason I wrote this book is because Americans believe their beliefs are under attack, and this is proof, ” Prejean said.

Prejean, the Former Miss USA runner-up, dropped her lawsuit against Miss California pageant organizers last week apparently on the heels of the tape’s discovery.

She would not discuss the lawsuit, but said she has been ‘Palinized’ by liberals since speaking out against same-sex marriage at the Miss USA pageant seven months ago.

“There’s been a campaign against me to try silence me,” she said. “They’ve tried to embarrass me. They’ve tried to humiliate me. They’ve tried to attack me, and I am still standing, and they can’t take that.”

Perhaps not so ironically, Prejean’s book is called “Still Standing.”

It’s nice that he’s calm, but President Obama needs to get tough and literally start smacking his rivals around, comedian Bill Maher said on “The David Letterman Show” Thursday, Nov. 5.

Maher said Obama gives great speeches, but so did Muhammad Ali.

“It helped that every once in a while he (Ali) punched somebody in the face. And that’s what I would like this president to do, punch somebody in the face,” Maher said. “Take a swing at John Boehner… Stop listening to these crazies. Stop placating them. “

Rihanna GMA interview: ‘F’ love … leave batterer

In a portion of a “Good Morning America’s” interview aired Thursday, Rihanna said going back to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after he beat her was a mistake.

The pop singer says she was blinded by L.O.V.E and didn’t realize the influence her action could have on young women and girls experiencing domestic violence.

She urged domestic violence victims to leave the relationship.

“Don’t react off of love,” she said. “‘F’ love. Come out of the situation and look at it third person for what it really is and then make your decision because love is so blind.”

In her first TV interview since the beating, the 21-year-old said she was ashamed that she loved a batterer and humiliated that the matter was so public.

“I am strong. This happened to me. I didn’t cause this. I didn’t do it,” she said. “This happened to me and it could happen to anyone.”

Brown, 20, was arrested Feb. 8, hours after he was accused of beating Rihanna after the couple attended a pre-Grammy Awards party. He later pleaded guilty to felony assault.

More of the interview will air on Friday’s “Good Morning America” and then Friday evening on ABC’s “20/20.”
