Amy Winehouse is looking great!

BRITAIN_WINEHOUSE_TUSSAUDS_-2.JPG

Oh — that’s a wax statue, you say? Never mind …

Madame Tussauds unveiled what may be their greatest creation on Wednesday, July 23, in London. The wax-workers (or whatever they’re called) did an unbelievably good job making Amy — usually appearing as a walking corpse — look almost healthy. Hair and 5-inch heels make the model nearly 6 feet tall, if you’re measuring.

Winehouse didn’t attend the unveiling, but her parents did. Dad Mitch said Amy was busy working, and would check out her likeness in her own good time.

Jennifer Garner’s having Baby #2 (in 5 months)

jennifer_garner.jpg

Jennifer Garner, 36, is four months pregnant with her second child with Ben Affleck, 35, sources have confirmed to People.com. As the news broke, somebody sent an intrepid reporter out to the playground frequented by Jennifer and Baby #1, Violet, 2.

The Garner-Afflecks got a rave review.

Joey Parsi, owner of the Giggles N’ Hugs, says Garner is “the perfect mom, and, trust me, I’ve seen hundreds of mothers in here.”

Affleck also is “totally insane about Violet,” said one of his longtime friends. (We assume they meant ‘insane’ in a good way.) “I know how much he enjoys being a parent. He gushes over Violet. He says she’s really smart, she’s really verbal and she’s got a funny personality. He’s happy to be a father and she’s happy to be a mother.”

Hmmmm. You know what they say about things sounding too good to be true? Sometimes “they” don’t know what they’re talking about.

Miley Cyrus is selling herself

miley_cyrus.jpg

Don’t act shocked — that’s the entertainment business in a nutshell. Still, we feel compelled to spread the news that the teen queen is auctioning off a date with herself — on eBay, of course. At this posting, the bid stands at $2,000. The auction ends July 29.

The winning bidder will attend the L.A. premiere of Cyrus’s Disney animated film “Bolt,” opening Nov. 26, and get a bunch of other prizes including a five-year official fan club membership. Woo hoo!

The auction benefits the Cyrus family’s charity, Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation (named for Miley’s grandfather), which supports underprivileged children.

One other thing: Free shipping!

Will Smith, Cameron Diaz top moneymakers

smith_diaz.jpg

But it’s apples and oranges, according to a new Forbes ranking of Hollywood’s top paychecks. Hollywood’s 10 best-paid actors out-earned Hollywood’s 10 best-paid actresses 2-to-1 over the course of the year, according to the magazine.

All together, leading men took home about $487 million between June 1, 2007, and June 1, 2008, compared with the women’s $244.5 million.

Will Smith banked an impressive-by-any-standards $80 million last year, topping Forbes’ list. Cameron Diaz isn’t feeling any pain either, raking in $50 million last year, making her the top-earning actor with the XX chromosome. Quick — name her last big movie. Yeah, didn’t think so.

Among others in the financial stratosphere: No. 2-ranked Johnny Depp, with a $72 million paycheck; and, tied for third place, Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers, with $55 million each. Leonardo DiCaprio, with $45 million, rounded out the top five.

Keira Knightley earned $32 million and Jennifer Aniston pulled in $27 million, which, while obviously a fraction of what the men earn, would support most of us just fine.

In terms of media personalities, Oprah Winfrey still owns the bank. Her earnings last year were a $275 million.

As for other TV stars, Charlie Sheen was the top-earning male ($20 million), while “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl deposited $13 million, making her the top-ranking female.

Where does all this money come from? Oh — I forgot. From you and me. Sigh.
