LifeStyles condoms auctions artsy boxes
To commemorate World AIDS Day and AIDS Awareness Month, the makers of LifeStyles® Condoms are dressing up their undeniably recognizable condom boxes in an effort to raise both money and awareness for the worldwide AIDS epidemic. LifeStyles has enlisted some celebrities to create exclusively designed condom boxes for the LifeStyles Celebrity Pop Art Auction. This auction will be live until tomorrow, Dec. 5, on www.lifestyles.com/popart, with all proceeds being donated to YouthAIDS.
Some of today’s big names, from movie stars to fashion moguls, jumped at the chance to transform the signature LifeStyles condom carriers into works of art for this cause. Participants include Ashley Judd, Ethan Hawke, Margaret Cho and Dita Von Teese (that’s Dita’s, pictured above).
Some of the designs may make it into retail stores, said a LifeStyles marketing guru. The LifeStyles Celebrity Pop Art Auction was designed to harness the power of celebrities to raise money and increase awareness about AIDS, which takes the life of one child every minute.
