Prince needs hip replacement, won’t do it
Prince’s much-reported hip problems of the past have escalated into a need for a double hip replacement. Unfortunately, thanks to his practice as a Jehovah’s Witness, Prince refuses surgery. (JW’s don’t believe in blood transfusions)
“He’s in a lot of pain,” said a source who was backstage with him recently at the Apollo. “He’s popping pain killers and hoping it will all go away.”
But it won’t. Back in 2005 reports surfaced that Prince, 51, needed one hip replaced. He declined. Then again in 2007 and 2008 came more reports that he’d finally agreed to “secret surgery.”
Now he’s walking with a diamond studded stick to keep him upright.

Carnal Carradine details emerge
TMZ.com reports that they’ve inspected a clear, uncensored version of the photo of David Carradine’s body, and it reveals a powerful clue reinforcing the theory his death was an accident.
The rope around his neck is knotted in front — common in the bondage community. We checked around with experts, who say a knot in the front is a telltale sign someone is not doing themself in. The frontal knot makes it fairly easy to quickly escape if they start losing consciousness.
In another post, the gossip site passed on information from a woman in Carradine’s past, who talked about his penchant for auto-erotica. She said he’d spend days planning to construct elaborate sexual devices.
Carradine’s third ex-wife, Gail Jensen, dropped more personal bombshells in an interview with Patricia Towle this weekend, saying “David was pretty strange. He would like to get tied up. He would tie himself up and I would walk in and see him and say ‘Oh my God, David, you got to be kidding me — and I would (turn around and) walk out. I would leave him to his own devices.” Jensen added, “He liked to be tied up. And he could tie himself up … He spent days planning a different feature. He would go to a hardware store and buy the stuff.”
Last week, TheSmokingGun.com published legal documents from Carradine’s 4th wife, detailing David’s “potentially deadly” sex habits.

Adam Lambert comes out: He’s gay, OK?
As promised, Adam Lambert is clearing up all the speculation about his sexuality in the new issue of Rolling Stone.
“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert tells the magazine. “I’ve been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man.”
While Lambert is proud of his sexuality - “I embrace it,” he says. “It’s just another part of me” - he’s focused on his career. “I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader.”
Lambert, who says he was worried about coming out on American Idol because it would be “so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing,” admits to having a crush on his roommate and Idol winner Kris Allen.
“I was like, ‘Oh, s-, they put me with the cute guy,’ ” Lambert recalls of bunking in the Idol mansion with Allen. “Distracting! He’s the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean, he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100 percent straight.”
As for the photos of Lambert dressed in drag and kissing other men that popped up online shortly after he made a splash on Idol, he says they’re not really representative of who he is. “I’ve only dressed in drag three or four times,” he says. “That’s not me.”
And while he’s been spotted out with close friend Drake LaBry, Lambert says he didn’t mind the attention he got during Idol from screaming female fans. “I loved it this season when the girls went crazy for me,” Lambert admits. “As far as I’m concerned, it’s all hot.”
