Garrison Keillor looking for the ‘goateed loser’ who robbed his bookstore

This never would have happened in Lake Wobegon.
A man and a woman broke into Garrison Keillor’s bookstore in St. Paul, Minn., Thursday, July 30.
The pair took $3,000 from the registers and safe, and smashed a window in the front door of the store owned by the creator of the long-running radio show “Prairie Home Companion” and the idyllic fictional town of Lake Wobegon.
The safe was later found, according to the Pioneer Press. It was empty of valuables.
The store, Common Goods Books, alerted the public via Twitter, tweeting “If anyone saw a goateed loser in long shorts and Longhorns cap carrying a safe at 1:20 last night, plz call the St. Paul PD.” The store also posted the surveillance video on the store’s blog.
Keillor stopped by the store last Thursday, watched the surveillance video and gave his employees a “keep-up-the-fight” fist pump upon leaving. No signs yet of the goateed loser.

This is a metaphor of a larger crime: Congress breaking into middle class homes, banks, investments and our future to steal the money we worked for and saved to pay for the poor decisions of those who were greedy, bought a house with shaky financing and expect the taxpayers to provide food, transportation, housing and free healthcare. It’s time to rollback all the social programs as the only thing it got us was newer generations of people addicted to taxpayer handouts that keep them alive above subsidence levels so they have no need or desire to get a job and their only interaction with government is filling out an ACORN form so they can get vote for more congressional thieves to support their lifestyle.By vick

You can rest assured that Tweet did not come directly from Keillor. He might have dictated it to somebody in his employ but Keillor is a true Luddite. I don’t think he even uses cellphones…By Wow

A private business is broken into, and some nutcake uses this as an opportunity to blather on his soapbox about things they likely don’t know mych about. Must not be from lake Wobegon.By windtalkerr
