What was the best AMA moment?
What an extra special American Music Award ceremony!
From fatter than before Timbaland to Adam Lambert’s boy kiss, there was much to see and sort of enjoy.
But what was you favorite moment?
Was it Whitney’s almost trumpet return, JLo’s fall or Taylor Swift stealing the ‘artist of the year’ glory from Jermaine Jackson who had planned to steal it from brother Michael?
Someone should send Kanye West an extra special Christmas present.
Don’t know about you, but I sort of liked Rihanna’s Lady Gaga costume.
Still I am voting for Whitney. Even in an er… ummmm… weakened state, she kicked the lip-syncher’s tail.
What do you think? See photos from the AMAs here.

My favorite performance was Whitney Houston. It was so touching how she got so emotional at the end.

I love how Whitney Houston is able to make a comeback based solely on the fact that she’s been able to convince people that everything was Bobby Brown’s fault. He didn’t force that crack pipe on her; she did that herself. Blame-shifting is not evidence of strength; it’s actually the opposite. A strong woman would own her mistakes and move on. She has no class with or without Bobby Brown.

It’s sad that the AMAs have turned into a theatrical mess akin to the VMAs. People spend so much time trying to outdo one another with pyrotechnics and dance numbers that they forget that they’re supposed to actually sing. Thank God for Green Day. Even with one sour note, they totally outshone everyone else at the AMAs. (And please, for next year, let Rihanna and Adam Lambert have a reality show instead of putting out CDs. They clearly can’t sing, so stop trying to pretend that they can. Somebody needs to remind Jermaine Jackson that he’s still “one of the other Jacksons”. If not for Michael, he’d have never been on that stage.)
