George Clooney, Wycelf Jean, Anderson Cooper to lead Haiti telethon
Hollywood is helping Haiti.
George Clooney, Wyclef Jean, Anderson Cooper and other celebrities will ask the world to help Haiti during a telethon set to air 8 p.m. Jan. 22 on MTV’s networks, ABC, NBC, HBO and CNN, according to PEOPLE magazine and the Associated Press.
The two-hour special “Hope for Haiti” is in response to the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked Haiti and killed as many as 50,000.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will also appear on the special, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The fundraiser will run commercial free. (Thinking it, but can’t make a Kanye. )
Wycelf Jean of the Fugees was born in Haiti and is raising money for relief efforts.
