Reports of Betty White’s death stirs up the Internet
Chuck it up to a golden lie.
False reports of “Golden Girl” Betty White death sent the Internet into a tizzy Tuesday and early Wednesday.
The rumor was traced back to a fake TMZ screen shot posted on the blog OH NO THEY DIDN’T, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Here’s what the Cutting Room Floor blog had to say about the fraud:
The article was clearly fake, as it mentioned possibilities of foul play and drug abuse, and grandchildren that Betty White does not have. But anyone who wanted to do any further investigating at the “source” as lead to the TMZ homepage which did not feature said article.
Besides, Betty White is like and uneaten Twinkie, she’ll be around forever.

You can’t trust TMZ. Sometimes they have correct information, and sometimes I think they just make up stuff. I hope this doesn’t upset Betty, she seems like a wonderful lady. I hope she outlives everybody on TMZ!
