Mayor: Erykah Badu should be charged for ‘naked’ music video
Strip naked in public and the police might just have an ‘issue’ with you.
Apparently it doesn’t matter if you are neo soul sister # 1 Erykah Badu.
Dallas police are “definitely considering” disorderly conduct charges against the eccentric singer for her controversial “Window Seat” video, according to a police sergeant quotes in a Entertainment Weekly blog.
They have spoken to a witness and are looking for others who saw the Dallas native’s ‘body parts’ as stripped down at Dealey Plaza during the making of the video.
Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway told WFAA-TV that he will do what he can to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. The city is reexamining its laws.
“I don’t think it’s going to be something she would go to jail behind, but certainly the message has to be sent,” Caraway told the TV station.
In the video released online, Badu sheds clothes as she walks on a Dallas sidewalk until falling naked near where President Kennedy was murdered in 1963.
Some people were upset that children witnessed Badu’s act. (See video from the AP below.)
For her part, Badu said it was art.
She tweeted: “i would never disrespect JFK . his revolutionary thinking is my inspiration. my performance art has been grossly misinterpreted by many.”
As for the charges, Badu tweeted “No one has pressd charges . All propaganda . Dont believe everything u hear . Fall back soldiers . EveryTING fine.”

TweetCan show survive as “One and a Half Men?’
“One and a Half Men” doesn’t have the same ring does it?
It looks like troubled star Charlie Sheen wants out of the hit CBS show “Two and a Half Men.”
The accused woman beater is tired of the grind of a weekly show and wants to focus on movie roles, sources tell the AP.
The rumors haven’t been confirmed.
Sheen has a role in the upcoming movie “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” a sequel to the 1987 film “Wall Street” in which he starred.
Last year, CBS renewed “Two and Half Men” through the 2011-12 season, but Sheen’s contract is up at the end of the current season.
Sure, everyone likes Alan Harper and his kid Jake, but what will the show be without crazy, drunk uncle Charlie. I am thinking boring.
What do you think? Could the show go on with out Sheen? And what is going to happen to Jon Cryer? I smell “Pretty in Pink 2: Duckie’s Revenge.”

TweetJesse James arrested by paparazzo, cited on claims he smashed up SUV
Jesse James can’t catch a break, but allegedly he can smash up a car.
According to online reports, there is video evidence linking the “Monster Garage” star to a SUV with slashed tires, a dented door and a scratched window.
A stay in rehab and a desire to save his marriage won’t cover repairs.
Police are seeking charges against Sandra Bullock’s apparently cheating hubby on allegations he smashed up paparazzo Ulises Rios’ vehicle as it was parked near West Coast Choppers last week, E! online reports.
Prosecutors will determine if there will be charges. Police cited James with vandalism. The paparazzo received a citation for stalking.
James and the photog launched citizen arrest actions against each other following the March 25 incident. There is apparently video evidence showing a confrontation and the damage to Rios’ SUV.
Paparazzo can be jerks, but then again, everyone knows dogging on America’s sweetheart is going to get you hounded.
What do you think?
