Kate Gosselin defends her right to work
Kate Gosselin defended her right to work in reality TV today, April 14, despite her ex’s claims that she is an absentee mom.
The current “Dancing with the Stars” contestant told “Today” show host Meredith Vieira her upcoming show with TLC, “Twist of Kate,” will benefit her family.
“I don’t see another option. I have eight children to provide for and this is a great opportunity,’ she said. “Its certainly not going to cut the mustard being a nurse working 12-hour shifts, six days a week. I wouldn’t see the kids anymore than I see them now.”
More over, Gosselin said she enjoys her work.
Jon Gosselin filed for sole custody of the children last week, claiming in part that Kate never had time for her brood.
During her appearance today, Kate Gosselin, the author of the new book “I Just Want You to Know,” admitted she was harsh with Jon and said she has learned to watch what she says.
“I learned that in the heat of the moment I have a sharp tongue, and looking back there are probably a lot of people that I love that I probably spoke to inappropriately,” she said.
