JOE FOSTER, Miamisburg: “Hell, yeah, I would, because I don’t like the people I work with, and it would be payback.”

CONNIE ABNER, Germantown: “No, not at all. Some people probably do because it’s the end of the year and they might be out of sick days. If you have a family and don’t get paid for sick days, you might not have a choice.”

Yes, I would go to work because I have no sick days.

I just started a new job so I don’t have sick days saved up. If I felt too bad I would have to stay home, but I would come in as soon as I could because I can’t afford to stay home and not get paid.

I had H1N1 and didn’t go to work because with the terrible headache and high fever I physically wasn’t able.

I think if I were Joe Foster’s boss, I’d fire him immediately for threatening the workplace.

I’m sure Ben the Buffoon is actually an unemployed bum and just wanted to shake things up.

Joe Foster, I understand your animosity toward your co-workers, but please stay home from work when you feel sick so you don’t infect anyone else who orders burgers and fries from your place of business.

Maybe Joe was just trying to be funny…

I hope Joe was joking. Even if you want to infect your co-workers, I hope you’d take into consideration their children who it will then be spread to. It’s sad to know people think like this and would willingly hurt my kids. The same for everyone who said they’d go to work sick. You aren’t just exposing your co-workers…you’re exposing everyone they are in contact with…babies, children with asthma, old people.

Joe Foster is a perfect example of the mentality that a majority of people from Dayton have about life in general. Ignorant beyond belief. Joe that mentality will get you beat, you don’t have a clue!

An under-reported side effect of H1N1 is damage to the sense of humor.

I can’t believe DDN would print Joe Foster’s response. His employer could take it the wrong way and can him. If he was serious, then it’s an example of how the internet could doom your job b/c of something stupid you post. Maybe there aren’t computers where he works. Probably a lot of mops though.

We have a terrible vacation benefit, so nobody at our work misses anything, so we all get sick. On the other hand, if you have a kid, you can run home and “work” if they have the sniffles. that really works when the boss is out, half the building leaves for home emergencies. If you’re female, it works like a charm.

It must be terrible to go through life having any attempt at humor fly right over your head. (cough…Monsire, Pat, etc.)

mmm looks like Joe Foster may be looking for a job tomorrow. How would he like it if it were his mother, father, sister, brother that he was making sick?

Yes, I would still go to work. I don’t have a choice. I am a single mother who has to make sure the bills are paid. With no insurance or accurable sick days, all I can do is put on a mask, and try & stay away from people, if possible.

Even if it was a joke the comment makes this Joe Foster look like a real dolt. I am sure his family members are real proud of his fabulous sense of humor. Joe may be reading this stuff and laughing his head off but I am sure his boss and co-workers are not. With all the folks out of work right now I am sure they can find a replacement quickly for this buffoon. My bet is that he does not even have a job.

Joe, you are awesome!! Go in there and give the virus to one of the big wigs where you work. Those greedy republicans deserve it.

OH MY GOSH, where is everyone’s sense of humor? I love it Joe, I think the same way you do so I totally understand and what you all fail to realize is he probably owns his own business. Thanks for the laugh Joe, we all got a kick out of it at work and kind of understand too what you were saying

Why should we have a sense of humor when it comes to some fool saying he will enjoy getting people and their families sick. Just not funny. DDN is really making this guy look dumb. Although he did a pretty good job on his own.

Sorry but Not Funny and especially Lakebound…YOU are the ones looking dumb here. Humor just flies over your head doesn’t it? And I’ll be Joe’s co-workers know him well enough to know he was making a joke. Jeez people!

Fisrt of all you people need to lighten up and learn how to take a joke. The question wasnt “if u had H1N1 would you go into work” it asked about the common flu. All you people who have negative remarks due to this must not work in a place where you can have fun. My co-workers took it as a joke and so did my customers who read it. I did get fired over my first admendment rights i used. I guess freedom of speech and press no longer apply in this country without consequences.

If you knew Joe F. you would know his sense of humor and know he didn’t mean no harm. Who really likes 100% of their co-workers if so where do I apply. He was one of the best at his job and been there for more than seven years. And will be missed. J.F get an attorney…
