I talked to our dog “Buddy” (cocker/lhasa apso mix) all the time. We had to put him down after 12 & 1/2 years. I still tell him good night every night and good morning everyday. We had him cremated and have his ashes in a nice box in the curio cabinet. He was a great dog.

I talk to my dogs all the time! I don’t hold conversations with them or anything like that but I definitely talk to them on a daily basis. More than anything, I sing to them. They SEEM to like it, but who knows.

Miss my golden retriever - lost her a couple years ago. We had some great conversations. She just looked at me a “smiled” while I rambled on…

I’ve always talked with animals. Had a poodle for 18 years and she was a better listener than any husband I’ve ever had. Cats, too, listen, but sometimes they like a little catnip bribe if they’re expected to feign interest.

I don’t have pets, but my wife does and I talk to them. I tell them to shut up and stop barking.
