It takes away from jobs so I avoid them. How much discount do those stores give you when you check out your own items? I heard there was no discount except time being saved.. then people complain about waiting for a human to check/fix price, ID, weight scales, bagging, etc. How about the grocery stores(supermarkets) open up more of their lanes with actual employees to check you out properly? I do not think minimum wage is going to hurt them that badly and their argument about raising prices; if so where where the price cuts when they put the self checkouts in ?

I like using the self check outs, faster for sure. The best part… bagging my own items :-) I like to pack my own bags MY WAY ! I know for sure my bread isn’t going to be crushed and eggs cracked.

I pump my own gas at a “service” station and I scan my own groceries at a “superstore”. So, how long do I have before I have to start stocking the shelves too?

I have better things to do with my time than wait thirty minutes in a cashier run lane. I hardly ever use real cashiers anymore, unless there is no one in their line.

I use it except when I have fresh fruit or veggies that need to be weighed. I’ve heard you can do that too but I’ve never figured out how.

Usually, there are 4 - 6 self-check out lanes per station depending on the store. There is always at least 1 and sometimes 2 real people monitoring those lanes to help people out, do age restricted items, take checks, and so on. If the store were to open express lanes in the same spot, they would not have 4 of them open I can guarantee, they would have 1 or 2. Therefore, the jobs are the same so no one is really losing any job in this situation. If anything jobs are gained as now, there are engineers to develop the machines, workers to build the machines, and technicians to service the machines, plus the cashier(s) present to monitor the machines. At least the machines don’t roll these eyes at you and act like they are doing you a favor like most of the cashiers at the stores do these days.

Takes away jobs, so you avoid them? Really? Do you not use an ATM, either? Do you only go where your gas is pumped for you? Do you wait for the librarian instead of use their self-check-out scanners, too? Car wash? Vending machines? Passenger-operated elevators cost people jobs, too. You avoid those? Get a reality check, people! There are better jobs out there than working the checkout at the grocery, and for the VERY few who maybe don’t have better options, there are still cashier lanes. With RFID tags, one day in the future the role of cashier will be a bygone memory of the elderly, just like elevator operators.

Pleasure vs. Sacrifice What do we mean by this? Pleasure is something that we have a strong desire for and/or something that we badly want. Sacrifice is something that we ask for or desperately need, but we are not able to receive it. A sacrifice is also something that is not attained or missed out due to constraints. If there is something that you are asking for or requesting, God will assure you that it will be received, but not right now. There is a strong emphasis on pleasure. Pleasure is something that is derived through our senses. Pleasure is obtained through our personal experiences in our lives. Sometimes, the things that we enjoy most in our lives are what we acquire as pleasure. The sacrifice that we make in our personal lives comes from the experiences that were left out as a direct result of personal setbacks. Some of the sacrifices that are made comes from the times that we usually spend dealing with the things that are directly in front of our faces. There are things that we want to have so badly that we have to place it on hold until we are able to deal with active issues or important things. For instance, relationships that is important to us such as taking care of children. Whenever our children or family members need us, there are times that we have to oblige and comply with important people in our lives. I really like spending time with important members in my family. For example, my wife if I were married will receive all of my time. However, I have to spend a lot of time listening to God & Jesus Christ. As far as other relatives and people are concerned, I have to converse with them on an as needed basis. This is because I have to spend quality time with God. You see everyone need to spend time with God. If anyone complains about you spending time with God, then there is a problem. God is who has given me life. God is the one who has created all of the heavens and the earth. It is God and Jesus Christ, my wife as soon as I get married, and children who I’m willing to spend most of my time. Family is extremely important. It is the Institution of Religion and Family that are extremely important to me. Religion is important because everyone need to spend time reading the Bible and getting acquainted with a Power that is greater than yourself. Family is also important because it is man, woman, and children that people would like to spend time with. People who are living in the present have a desire to have a family of their own. We crave this as if it is an ice cream cone. It is like a child asking his parents to buy ice cream for them. Next, the simple pleasures that I have personally are to spend more time getting to know God and to read all of the books that I can about a God of my own understanding. I know that God will bless me with that special female someday. I know that in a relationship, men and women must step up to the plate and perform tasks that pertain to maintaining a household as well as a decent relationship. Whenever a man meets a woman, the criteria are for that man to have all of his resources together and keep it real. A man must have a decent job or an income to sustain a household. I know that a man should never allow a woman to pull too much weight of the household. I am a man who would a woman to chill out. I am supposed to be the man in the house and I am supposed to take care of it. I know what I have to contribute might not be what women usually desire, but it is best to be honest from the very start. A man is supposed to be honest with women when it comes to their intentions. Women are supposed to be honest when it comes to their intentions as well. I am the type of person who will tell you directly how I feel and I also will allow you to explore all of my resources and assets if necessary. Men sometimes are reluctant to share all of their personal information with women. Men are supposed to lie all of the cards on the table and get real. Women are supposed to do the same thing. If women want an honest and truthful man in her life, she should ask God really hard for that special person. God is the one who makes that decision for you. Men the same thing applies to you. I am a man who will be honest and truthful directly to you face to face. I have always been a face to face person when it comes to interaction. The internet itself is an idiot box just like the television. If you want something tangible you do not have to go very far in searching for it. Tangibility is very important. It is men who are jealous and resentful of each other. In our community, it is competitive in a search for a job as well as a real woman. I do not understand why it is so competitive when there are more women than men. I did not know that looking for a real woman is like searching for a bar of gold inside of the water. What is next? No one knows!!! The quest for finding that real woman is hard and it is challenging. It has a lot to do with the choices that we make and the things that we do in our lives apply as well. This search requires careful thinking and planning. This is a lifelong evaluation that requires planning and searching. A person will have to use their brain a whole lot more than a computer. I say this because it is important to think and make rational decisions. This is why it is very important for people to read more than using a computer. Computers are okay for the use of research. It is important for people to use the organ that gives you life. A brain is a 7.5 pound organ that is located inside of the cranium. The cranium protects the brain. The brain is an organ that is used to give life to the rest of the body. The brain itself is also used to protect yourself and the way your own body heals itself. The average brain grows and expands based on the age of the person. It also grows and shrinks in size according to the demands that we put on ourselves. I am referring to stress and how it relates to the human body. The neurotransmitter that gives us pleasure is dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter inside of the brain that provides stimulation and energy. Serotonin is what gives the brain the ability to relax. With this in mind, it is important to relax and take it really easy when it applies to the use of our human computer. I am referring to the brain. Pleasure is derived from experiences that we enjoy from time to time. Pleasure is self seeking. It is an in depth searches for that special something that we enjoy most over all other things. Another thing that people usually do for fun are the things that we tend to spend our time doing that sometimes irritate others. If someone enjoys watching spectator sports over dealing with family, then there is a problem. If it is your own children, you will know that it is important for you to stop watching spectator sports and take care of your family. This applies to both men and women. It is very important to understand men, women, and children alike. Everyone who exists on earth has a right to be understood. No matter who you are as human beings, you have a right to be understood and respected. Always remember that you are the most important person to you. It is God, Jesus Christ, your children, spouse or significant other, and then yourself. If you are by yourself then it is God, Jesus Christ, others, and then yourself.
