Has all of this recent rainfall caused you any problems?

LORI HENDERSON

LORI HENDERSON, Huber Heights: “A lot of people I know have basements flooding. That’s the biggest thing. And yards flooding.”

JONATHAN COLLINS

JONATHAN COLLINS, Yellow Springs: “Not in particular. I’ve got a bit of a flooded basement, but that’s my fault. It’s probably good for the environment. I actually like the rain; I could live in Seattle. The problem is the present infrastructure isn’t set up to handle as much rain as we’ve gotten. That’s man’s fault, not nature’s.”

DOT FEDERINKO

DOT FEDERINKO, Huber Heights: “I’m very depressed. I’m ready for sunshine and warmth. It’s just been horrible.”

ddnchatJeremyBryant.JPG
JEREMY BRYANT

JEREMY BRYANT, Wilmington: “Me, personally, no, but a couple of co-workers’ basements were flooded. It think it’s been a little heavier than the typical spring.”

TAYLR POLEY

TAYLR POLEY, Dayton: “No, not really. We’re military and we live iin base housing. We haven’t had any problems.”

Sump pump failed and I had a basement full of water. Now I have a garage full of musty carpet waiting to go.

The bildge pump failed, the mast snapped, we all have scurvy, the rats have formed a swimming team, Olive Oyl does synchronised swimming below decks for exercise…and generally…yes…all of this water has caused some problems.

Nary a problem. I moved out of a house with a basement years ago. It would take water at least 18” deep in my yard to flood my ranch home.

I’m concerned about the condition of our highways. The streets are tore up and they look like they have been fixed and are broken up again and it’s in the fast lanes and the slow lanes. You can’t avoid the broken out pieces, and when you are driving fast, I can’t even imagine how much damage is done to our cars. I wonder when they are going to be repaired. I’m mostly talking about I675, both north and south, around the 35 interchanges. Pretty bad. The rain isn’t helping anything.

Ark is nearly complete. Lowe’s and Home Depot are out of marine plywood. Animals are killing one another. Wife is nagging for a vacation to the Nile.

Isn’t Noah naked and drunk in his tent? Seriously, interesting reading there. One of his sons was cursed for laughing at him, I think.

The grass in my back yard is now tall enough to conceal a pride of lions, but otherwise we’re high and dry.

I dont have a basement, my house is on a slab. I have found water in my vent system everyday it has rained. I have sucked out over 300 gallons of water out of the vents in just over a week. I am soooooo done with this rain.

High winds blew some shingles and flashing off of our roof. Subsequently, part of the interior ceiling below that fell down and now it rains inside my laundry room. We have put buckets and towels on top of the dryer and at least it’s the laundry room, so we just recycle the towels from the top of the dryer to the washer, to the dryer, then out of the dryer back on top of it. And the amount of rain has saturated our land so much that my bedroom is flooding. The carpet is soaked. Yeah, I think the rain has caused a couple of problems.

With all my troubles, getting drunk would be pleasurable. Anybody have an extra wineskin? I don’t have a tent but I do like to stay at Motel 6.

Just think how gorgeous our grass and flowers are gonna be in a few weeks from this abundance of rain… and my basement flooded too. Im a single mom with no way to fix it but hope it dries soon… I love mother nature but she should not be in my basement =)
