Can Bengals pull off an upset?

TOO MANY PROBLEMS

PLAGUE THE BENGALS

===Back to the original question: Can Cincy shock the NFL world and upset the Cowboys?===

Not with an offensive line that can’t block a soul. It’s the most disappointing unit on the team.

Not with a tailback (Chris Perry) who can’t hold onto the football. He has four fumbles (two lost).

Not with a quarterback (Carson Palmer) who has an inflamed right elbow. He’ll test his arm strength today, Friday, Oct. 3. The choice between Palmer and backup Ryan Fitzpatrick could be a game-time decision.

Not with a wide receiver (Chad Ocho Cinco) who has an ego that’s run amok. His stuff has worn so thin that it’s not even “bulletin board” material anymore.

Not with a defense that’s a work in progress. Coordinator Mike Zimmer’s doing a heckuva job, considering he has very little talent to work with.

The difference between the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals isn’t just talent, it’s the expectation level. The Cowboys lose ONE game, and it’s Armageddon. The Bengals lose, lose and lose some more, and it’s business as usual.

The Bengals WANT to be competitive. The Cowboys EXPECT to win the Super Bowl.

Nuff said.

O.K. The Bengals don’t stand much of a chance this week, but I think Chad acting like the old Chad (calling people out) and his team mates saying they’ve got his back is the most refreshing thing I have seen so far this year.

Carson should sit this one out, no use getting him injured in a game they have .0000001% chance of winning. The Cowboys are pissed that Wash. came in and beat them, so they will show no mercy on the hapless Bengals. No team wants a loss to the Bengals in their record book. Romo is going to tear the bengals secondary apart.

Mike Brown’s Redeem Team can’t hang with America’s (Redeem) Team. Simply put, their criminals are better are better than ours. Pacman and Tank trump Henry, Shirley, Maui’a, and Benson any day of the week. Oh, and their non-criminals are better than ours too. Cowboys 34 Bengals 13.

No good reason for Carson to play here. Henry would be more effective with him, but the OL gives up too many sacks; more opportunities to keep Palmer on the injured list.

John: Henry is only good for the deep routes, unfortunately the Bengal QB (whoever it ends up being) won’t have time to get the ball to him, with the Cowboys rushing in.

I am so sick of ppl dissing chad johnson… sure he does some crazy things, but it gets ppl talkin about him, doesn’t it? Would you be talking about him if he didn’t ever open his mouth? Probably not. Chad reminds me of a teenage boy who puts his whole heart into the game and everything else he does. He is very dramatic, but lately optimistic, when others are not. Maybe if we had more players like him on our team, or management who gave a rats A**, we might be making the right decisions and actually winning some games, instead of signing a bunch of felons. If we didn’t get enough from Henry, lets just add one to the bunch. That does teach me that life just isn’t fair. They can do what the heck ever they want, and recv a big check for it, while I, 8 months pregnant.. barely in the middle class.. work my butt off to just pay for the food on our table, and the gas in my tank. Maybe if the Bengals would find ppl who worked their butts off to make a dime, we would be a winning team!

Let’s review, Bengals make playoffs in ‘05 and OchoAsso melts down at halftime and fights w/ his coach. After most TDs he goofs off and the team receives a 15 yard penalty, he sends Pepto Bismal to Clowns players before a game and then does nothing in the game. Actually look at any big game during his tenure here and you’ll notice he chokes. This past off season in January the team ask him to get his ankle operated on, he refuses for 6 months and ends up missing most of mini-camp and training camp. You call this a player that cares about winning? His off season comments prove he is a liar as he said he would it out the year. He signs a contract then tries to ignore it. A real man of his word. I use the term man very loosely, as he is nothing but an insecure attention seeking crybaby. He goes onstage at local comedy club saying he is giving away trips, cards etc and then changes his mind and loses the lawsuit over it. He goes at least 3 years w/o paying property taxes. And you wonder why people diss him? Most people have figured out his stale immature act in time the others probably will. You are correct in one aspect, he acts like a teenage boy, not a professional. And if you see him ask him how that name change/marketing ploy is working out. You know the one he tried till he was handed the bill for approx 4 million dollars for unsold jerseys. If he spent half the time working to improve his game that he spends on other stuff he might be able to help the team.

Bengals 49 - Cowboys 24….basically, Cedric Benson will return to Texas form to rush for an NFL record rushing yards in a single game (308yards) and 3 TD’s…..while henry immediately clicks with Ryan Fitzzeee, catching 13 balls for 203 yards and 3 TD’s….and Antonio Chatman is credited with the 7th TD on a 96 yard punt return…. While Keith Rivers has 3 sacks and an interception, Marvin “the gator” White paralyzes some no name receiver, and Johnathan Joseph, Leon Hall and Chinedum Ndukwe combine for 4 INTs….. how do ya like that for a pay-per-view event TO-cho cinco????

I have an idea. Let’s all accept the fact that the Bengals will only win about 3-5 games a year, that way we don’t have to have our weekends ruined hoping they win, only to be disappointed. Then every 10-15 years they have a decent season, fans start buying season tickets and jerseys again, and Mike Brown says to himself “yes I am a football genius”. Unfortunately, Paul Brown has spun so much in his grave that he is nearly to China by now.

Chad is at the heart of why this team is the one of the worst teams in the NFL. If a miracle happens, and he does score and kisses the star, his coddling by the Bengals coaching will disuade a teammate from doing what should be done, breaking his neck. Nothing is as inspiring and invogrates the competitive spirit as having a teammate worshipping the opponents.

So little talent on defense? I disagree. We’re all overcome with negativity these days, but Geathers, Peko, Odom, Jeanty, Rivers, Hall, Joseph, Ndukwe, White, White & Jones are all talented guys. We have some talent, and the defense is improving every day. I just hope they don’t quit on us. The offense certainly seems to have already pulled the plug on 2008.

“With his size, speed and hands, Henry has the ability to stretch defenses, forcing safeties to play deeper in coverage to guard against intermediate and long passes.” “What makes Henry even more dangerous is the fact he also excels on underneath routes, snatching the ball out of the air and sprinting past linebackers and defensive backs.” Henry would be more useful if Carson is the QB; but Palmer also runs the risk to being sacked too many times. ML should rest Palmer ‘till he is fully recovered and the OL has time to improve against the pass rushing of the opposition.
