No surprise as Bengals waive Kirk Barton

The Cincinnati Bengals waived center Kirk Barton on Thursday, April 24.

A second-year NFL player from Ohio State and Massillon Washington High School, Barton was inactive on the Cincinnati roster for one game last season before being placed on the Reserve/Injured list following a Dec. 4 practice injury.

He was a seventh-round choice of Chicago in the 2008 draft and played in one game for the Bears. He spent inactive time on the Miami and San Francisco rosters before being signed by the Bengals from the Miami practice squad on Nov. 28.

Good, we don’t need anymore dead weight on this team. Maybe he’ll get the message finally and try harder for another team. Good luck to him.
