The best Barbie doll EVER!

OK, readers, take a look at this and tell me your reaction:

Several thoughts are rushing through my head:

  1. Oh dear lord…

  2. That’s kinda cool, actually! First Barbie I’ve ever wanted!

  3. For people who hate Barbie, all they have to do is imagine this doll in that last scene.

  4. Just imagine how perverse a Marnie Barbie would be!

  5. Maybe we could make the proposed Birds remake more tolerable by populating it entirely with Barbie dolls. Todd Haynes can direct! Click here to see what I mean by that in-joke!

Love the Superstar reference. That really is an amazing film. My 5 year old daughter will still take her new Barbies over this one, as she just got Disney Barbies for Christmas from my parents. She keeps changing the oufits between the six of them. My favorite: she put Cinderella in Belle’s yellow dress, and then chanted, “Cinderella, dressed in yellow, went upstairs to kiss a fellow…”

Well, given my vow of poverty I might not run out and buy one anytime soon, but if I had some caged finches, their cousin canaries,or perhaps some darling love birds… this Jessica Tandy-Barbie Doll would be posing right next to the cage! Hmmmmm… Maybe a cage full of blackbirds might be even nicer!

I have a similar reaction - “what the…????” followed by, “hmph - that’s kinda cool…” They do have a full line of pop culture and iconic images that are pretty cool. Like the sets of the Munsters, Addams Family and Lord of the Rings and many, many others. I love this mini 3D film cells idea. :)

You’re on the right track, ME - but I want a REAL Grace doll, not one that looks like Barbie! Put her in that first dress she wears in “Rear Window!”

Wow seriously. I loved Barbie when I was a kid. This might just be fun to collect and save. I like the idea of a whole classic line of Barbie. What about Grace Kelly … I think ER you would buy one immediately! Oh the mind reels at the many classic opportunities.

I am a Barbie collector, and, if I had room in my current residence, I would buy this in a minute! I’d love to see a whole classic film line. Although the Mrs. Bates one from “Psycho” I could probably pass on…
