quit your whining…many people in america were envious for years as to what you guys made for what little work that you do…it’s about time that reality smacks you in the face and holds you accountable to your thoughts, actions, and greed. this is not directed to the white collars, it’s directed to the lazy a*s workers that get paid $60,000 a year to drive a forklift…welcome to the real world!!!
Many THANKS to those of you that have posted POSITIVE comments to the MANY GM Employes that have been adversely lambasted by the HATERS. Your MORAL SUPPORT is greatly appreciated by ME, as I am one of the many that DID work at GM…Life will go on and the HATERS will suffer from within their bitter selfs…
Holy Crap! College boys come snarling like rabid and mange ridden dogs to pick at the remains of the lowly GM line worker who pauses in trying to pick himself up by his bootstraps for a moment to snap back at the pseudo educated. That super neat and most likely government subsidized education provided you with nothing more than a slick veneer to cover your ignorance, Cap’n College. What did any blue collar worker do to you that you weren’t smart enough to sidestep?
I quess this retard in oakwood doesn’t realize that his toyota was probably built in one of the biggest toyota plants in Georgetown, KENTUCKY. Briars and Hillbilly’s probably made it. It’s the company that sets the quality standards not the people.
Hey, that “game” youse guys played against supervisors and the corporation where you woked 2 hours for 8 hrs. pay…looks like you lost. The reason that whole plant is closing is that ignorant briar mindset and crap attitude and “us versus them” mentality. Didn’t y’all larn nuthin’ when y’all lost the Civil War? Y’all just lost another big war, moron. Hick. Ignoramus. I laugh at you ever time I turn the key and start my Toyotas…and unlike your junk, they ALWAYS start and last forever.
General MOTORS, before you take a slam dunk out of Dayton Ohio, please Pay to have our streetcars put back downtown. You Paid to have them taken out of our city and trashed Dayton with cars and highways. We need those streetcars to bring back our city and to attract new business here again!
With the US becoming a third world country quickly: we all need to remain level headed and supportive of each other.
Yes, manufacturing jobs are going over seas, but so are white collar jobs! America is no longer the “super power” we once were. People are becoming collaborative oriented, and less war mongering. The US with its arrogance needs to wake up. United We Stand Divided We Fall.
XOH=idiot
I don’t work at GM and never have. I haven’t live in OH for 30 years. With all your critical thinking skills and comprehensive analytical skills you sure don’t have any common sense. Where do you think you would be without the blue color worker’s who bulid that keyboard your typing on to house your living in, oh yes lets not forget the automotive work’s without them you would still be riding a horse.
Now who is the idiot.
Nero fiddled while ROME burnt. Our National economy is in shambles. We are at WAR on many FRONTS. Meanwhile, some of you GM bashers still insist upon name-calling and pointing fingers and laughing at US. When all is said and done, it will be the gnashing and grinding of your so-called educated teeth that I hear all the way here in LAKE country…Froto said that!!!
For your information I was headed in the direction of you white collar critics who think you are so high and mighty but I didn’t make anything being a police dispatcher witch I am quit sure you couldn’t do. I had the chance to make a lot of money in a dead end job. I work for a subsidary of GM make 19.00 with a union and still get treated like crap. I am glad this has finally came to a head so it forces me to get out and utilize my skills. Don’t critize the people. Hard times can fall on anyone.
Apparently you can’t or didn’t read that well. You directed that to me and I clearly said “I do not work for GM” You are a very bitter person. There are so many other companies affected by this plant closing. No one deserves this or you being an arrogant person. You are not better than anyone…not even the monkey that can do my job.
You people that claim to be educated sure make yourselves sound very ignorant on these posts. It’s not the worker’s fault that GM chose to pay them so well for their work, whether it was 2 or 12 hours. I work in the auto industry and I can tell you it is not easy. Do I have a degree? NO I don’t, but I can pay may bills just like someone who does. I have said it myself, “A monkey could do my job” but they pay me to do it. If you want us to believe you are educated, show some class and act like it

The fact of the matter is WE ARE BETTER THAN YOU, all you people did was whine your whole careers, we dont make enough money, we hate our benefits, now, you are done and you have nobody to blame but yourselves!
I do not work for GM but I do work for another automotive company in Dayton. Have any of you ever worked there or in any factory? We work long hours with short breaks and people that have been there a long time make $26 an hour. It’s hot, loud and dirty. So why do we do it? We do it because it pays our bills and the insurance is great, we do it because our father’s did. We do it so you can have cars and trucks to drive. Don’t look down on us for doing what you wont. You are no better than us.
This guys is so stupid he cannot even splle lol. Look you are dumb, always have been always will be, when your pension goes t*ts up don’t ask the government or ME for a bailout because you wont get it. Actually when your 500sq foot house goes on the auction block because it is in foreclosure I will buy if from you at 1/3 the market value tear it down and put a port o let on it lol. GM workers are bums and your posts prove it lol.
Yeah, collecting unemployment and food stamps is a dream come true. We’re so envious. While it might be necessary at times, don’t think you’re entitled to it, and therefore can abuse it you dumbass hillbilly. Will you go to college? Doubt it. Will you sit on your a*s until unemployement runs out? Odds are good that will happen. You should work hard your whole life, not just until you find an out and an exuse not to do anything.
A real job is something that requires a 4 year degree or higher to perform not shootin dem screws on the yeee haawww assembly line lol! It requires critical thinking skills (which line workers do not have) and comprehensive analytical skills, again which gm line workers do not have. A monkey can do your “hard work,” losers in life, thats what you people are lol!
To the 30 year GM basher. You sound like a person trapped in a dead end job, that drives a old car, and
don’t have money to go on a real vacation. And is bitter to be making 15 dollars a hour, and can’t put food on the table for your wife and kids.
I paid off my house, have a nice house at the lake,a boat, a winter home in Fla. Have my one credit card payed off, have put a kid thur college, and payed that off. Live off my GM pension and Social Security.
So there is a good life after GM.
Poor Brian you are the biggest carbaby of them all. What you couldn’t get a UNION job so you could own a house, cars, boats. You can’t even hold a job that pays enough to have a bank account.
Just how many of you would turn down a job because it is UNION? Not many if it meet putting food on the table, benfits and taking care of your familys the way they should be taken care of.
If a real education mean shooting down people who are loseing their jobs then your education is not what I want.
For those of you who are bashing the GM idiots, we are the ones that get to draw unemployment for 2 years and have to years of college paid for in any field we choose. We get to use your tax money for our medicaid and food stamps while we do it. It looks like you are the suckers. We all have worked hard. But now we get to take a break. Don’t throw stones when you live in a glass house.
gee i love the comments on here about “it is a game we played with GM.” Hey jerk I hope you didn’t teach your kids YOUR WORK ETHIC LOL. Hell, maybe you did and now they are getting what you gave them as a 30 year idiot gm employee…NOTHING! You Union babies need to suck it up and go get a real job, one that requires a little more thought than putting a floor mat in the back of a car lol lol lol lol! You rednecks will never see 28 bucks again, i think your job goes for about 8.00 an hour..losers
My heart goes out to each and every one of you. I pray God’s blessings and wisdom upon you all. For those who have bashed the GM worker, it’s no wonder this world is in the conditon it’s in. Your mindsets are those of a child who has never been guided in any direction. No one should be happy at the misfortune of others. You reap what you sow, and you need to watch what you say, it could be you losing your job next. God bless you all at Moraine Assembly.
Sorry to see the Morain Plant close.I worked in your plant for a few months in “69” before going in a different direction.,I truely feel badly for all the employees.I grew up in W.C. and a lot of my old high school buds I’m sure are going through hell.Good luck!
I worked at GM Morine, and, yes I only worked about
2 hours out of 8 hrs. I was suppose to be on the clock.I slept out in the shipping yard in trucks with the a/c running. It was the game that GM and the workers played. But with all the crap, you had to put up with, with supervision, it was a fair trade off. It seems all the people bitching are the one who
are sorry they didn’t get a job at GM. 28 dollars a hour, free insurance. Now that I’m retired, after 30
years,I don’t regrat any of it.
NOthing in this life is secure….especially jobs nowdays. I feel for anyone that looses a job, very devasting. It could & may happen to anyone. The way the economy has been going lately. Count your Blessings if you have a job. I pray for the ones out of work they will find a job.

To the Tundra owner, hey moron…you do realize that the Tundra is made by the exact same kind of workers, making the exact same amount as gm workers in good old America?
Just to let you morons know…there are 500 workers there that make 15/hr. I’m not sure where the one idiot poster who bought the Tundra(by the way moron, that’s made in America by the exact same kind of workers that you disdain who make just as much as gm workers) thinks that people play cards and sleep. In the job that i do, i install the rear carpet and do 4 other jobs in a manner of 40 seconds 400 times a day. I’ve never been this sore in my life and my fingers are numb at this moment.

Yea redneck… Your need for ANGER-management is obvious. I would expect your high blood pressure be your method of DEMISE…GOD help and PITY the FOOLS like you…
I worked at the plant for 14 years took the buyout in july ‘08. THOSE WHO THINK WE WERE SPOILED? YOU TELL ME WOULD HAVE TURNED DOWN THE JOB? WITH A CHANCE TO MAKE THE MONEY WE EARNED THROUGH A 10 YEAR PAY RATE? It took 10 years of senority to max out, not the 3 years of UAW. PLUS we saw alot of people come in and go out b/c they could not handle the work. Most of my 14 years(10 of them) we worked 10+ hours on the assembly line. We were one of the top $$ makers for GM for many years.
Job creations comes from the cities Not suburbs. Dayton must bring back the downtown in order to create new job again. This is a proven fact if the city thrives so do suburbs!
Yea Froto but us bean counters will always have jobs, you redneck hick auto workers who think that dem der gas guzzlin 4x4’s will put food on my trailer park table are the ones that are screwed. I feel no pity for you idiots, wake up! Now to the rest of the upper crust and EDUCATED middle and upper middle class of the Miami Valley, DO NOT HIRE THESE BUMS ALL THEY WILL DO IS TRY AND PUT A UNION IN YOUR SHOP AND YOU WILL END UP JUST LIKE GM!
GM, Ford, Chrsyler are all in a death spiral; as is most manufacturing in this country. There is always cheaper labor somewhere else. There has been many mistakes by the US Auto industry and if you are dishearten by this or as some seem enjoy the downfall of GM - the country will suffer because of this. If you are a service economy you are a debtor nation; to be a creditor you must manufacture - Sony president said that 20 years ago - he was right.
AS THE WORM TURNS… You GM bashers will be next. We are SURVIVORS and thanks to Retirements and Buy-outs negeotiated by our UNION we will maintain. What will you BEAN-COUNTERS do ? I can see your suicide rates going up…lol…
I left the Dayton area almost 2 years ago and even shed my Chevy Trailblazer in favor of a Toyota Tundra (goodbye Dayton). The stories of UAW workers playing cards or sleeping while being paid was enough to convince me years ago that GM was in trouble. I almost bought a Corvette a while back but still have issues with GM quality as my last few American cars had dash lights go out, electrical problems, etc.
Will the last person to leave Dayton please turn off the lights?
I bought a 2008 GMC Acadia a few months ago knowing that gas prices are what they are. However, I needed a vehicle that could tow my boat and haul my wife and three kids around. My Acadia gets 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway. Sure it’s not great mileage…but it’s great for our trips. SUVs/Crossovers will never truely die…it’s just that the soccer mom with one kid that drives to the grocery store and soccer games doesn’t need a Ford Excursion.
GM made a wrong move in diversfing its business. GM did not need to go into the credit card business, home mortgage business, satellite radio business, the business focus should have stayed on the auto industry, the pulse of the buying market, and refining the products. It is painfully obvious that GM,Ford, and Chrysler LLC want taxpayer money to bail them(Oh by the this is Chrysler 2nd bailout). Even the consumers are not buying, they still make us pay for it. GM is a symptom of a deadly illness
you are damn right the wolves are coming and I am one of them, you lazy slobs got a free ride for years and I am glad that “the wolves,” including myself are bashing you into the ground. You people are the absolute reason why things the way they are and why people hate unions. You lazy hicks are the weak elks and the real working wolves have no problem taking you down and moving on!
Okay Brian, you’re looking for attention, here’s some. Learn to spell, punctuate, capitalize, and speak in sentences, and then maybe your opinion will be listened to. It’s obvious you didn’t get a job as a rocket scientist in Florida. You’re probably a gator wrestler, or a trailer park mold tester. We don’t miss you up here, now go brush your tooth.
i worked at vandalia plant! i don’t care i moved to sunny florida got jobs put a fork in gm they are done!!!!!! theres nothing in dayton besides crime and murder
The people posting on her need to get a clue! These workers at Moraine they don’t get a free ride. Do you not remember the article published by DDN where the reporter came in a worked a day at the plant? He crawled out of there. It sure shut him up. I would love to see all of your big mouths work a day in one of these workers shoes!
Also, do you not follow the news? The banks are losing their butts so much that the government is now bailing them out! How soon until the entire country i
go find a job CRYBABY’S! goodluck there no jobs there that town is done! i moved to cocoa ,fl got two jobs. i was laid off and got the hell out while i could. tell someone who cares about overpaid, lazy spioled american workers. the japs killed you guys for years. it finilly came back to bite you! toyotoa #1 in cars!
quit cryin’ CRYBABYS GET A REAL JOB AND LIVE LIKE THE REAL PEOPLE AND TELL US HOW HARD LIFE REALY IS!!!!
I was engaged to a GM worker once. He worked 12 hour shifts like “Gilbert” from the july 28th post. The only problem was that he came home bragging that he got his quota of work done in 4 hours and then slept for the other 8! He described how if he did more than his quota the other guys would threaten him because they didn’t want to have to work more than they already were. It is such a shame to see people loose jobs where they are paid $30 an hour to sleep.
it’s that union that messed up the auto industry! CRYBABIES that live on 8.00 an hour driving new cars while that the people that buty them pay the price!ithe company kept on giving in to you all guess what who’s CRYIN’ now! say goodbuy to your big house ,car ,boats the bank gona own next seeyall don’t what to be ya!
NAFTA, GATT, and Clinton signed it. So now as Obama’s preacher sez “America’s chickens coming home to roost!”. Who is going to protect what you have if you won’t? No one will come riding to your rescue. The clock strikes twelve and for Cinderella the partys over.
While I’m sorry so many will lose jobs, I disagree that auto-workers keep everyone else employed. Yes, other businesses will be affected as well. Times change, and businesses go by the wayside. How many blacksmiths do you see these days? How many railroad conductors? They lost jobs, but new ones were created by industrial evolution, technology evolution, etc. Jobs will eventually be replaced, but the workers will need to be trained. We can’t just land somewhere and think we’re there forever.
I work at Moraine Assembly and I will lose my job within the next few months. It amazes me to see so many people dogging the American Auto Worker. Our industry keeps this country employed and now thousands of other people will be affected by this. People don’t understand that Dayton will become a Ghost Town. Think about how this will damage your community and not about us “CRY BABIES”.
They tell you, that all plants closing are market driven or is it greed driven? The Toyota plant in Ky., the tax credit is up in 2 years they will relocate to Mexico. Market or Greed? The American worker HAS ALLOW the quality of work ethic and product to diminish. The corporation have capitalize on this by bringing in cheap labor and slipping in cheap products. GM is a tale of two companies. They had the best of times, but it is not the worst of times YET! GM workers: PRAY for help and persevere
Why is Rick Wagoner still the CEO of GM? In the first five years of his tenure, GM made a great recovery, but lately he has been off his game. Decisions like piling into the mortgage market via GMAC right before the crash. Product lineup decisions like eliminating the light pickup offering and replacing the the efficient Cobalt. Placing research bets on a hybrid engine that is way too complex (keep it simple) and unproven all-electric. Three strikes and…
Ok look you dumb hicks, go back to school and get a real education. For so long GM workers looked down their noses to the rest of the Miami Valley because they could shoot dem screws reeel gud and make 30 bucks an hour, now that you have two SUV’s in your driveway, no savings, and 90 days late on your mortgage I say…. SCREW you GM WORKERS, get out here and go back to your trailer parks where you AND YOUR NO BRAIN jobs belong!
I am now a 70 year old, retired foreman of GM. Some feel the plant will close 12/31/2008. Interesting, I just received a letter that GM can no longer pay my medical, hospital insurance or dental plan as of the same day. I am happy to say the union retirees will continue to receive their benefits next year. Don’t always say the union is on the short end of the stick. Middle management has been hit much harder. Just count your blessings Boys !!
Yes there are a lot of factors. Corporate greed, higher fuel costs, overseas manufacturing with cheaper labor costs. Suppliers for the plant will cut job forces also. I work with rail yard in Moraine that is there to mainly serve their needs. Jobs will be cut there also. Just more jobs lost for everyone, nobody wins here.
I’m willing to hire at least one unemployed autoworker. All she or he would have to do is patrol the SnoreAgain District and immediately call me if, by extraordinary chance, one of the never-open-for-business art galleries happends to be open. I’ll eat Bill Pout’s copy of “The Scarsdale Diet” should this come to pass!
Let’s all go buy an SUV so their sales will go back up. Then, they can open a second shift again, and keep cranking out gas guzzlers. Then, a year from now, when we all have one, then they can cut another shift, and we can start over. Let’s not look at the problem long term, let’s just fix it temporarily so we can keep on doing what we’re doing and put our heads in a hole.
Well, it’s here. The plant will be closed by the end of the year. If you didn’t take the buyout thinking once they got rid of the higher cost labor to get a new product in there, you are screwed. Go back to school, get related and educated for todays’ job market.
If you don’t, I feel sorry for you. Take care of yourselves, and leave Dayton!!!
I say that we give “American” companies only (like GM) the tax breaks that they need to survive with the stipulation that they have to move production of all vehicles sold in the USA back to the USA. Also, for all of you who support Toyota and Honda because the “make them over here”, where do you think the money goes at the end of the day,and if there were no GM or Ford see how long it takes the Japanese to pull their plants out of the US. Unlike us, they take care of their own.
Lets see after all this is over , and GM gets rid of all of their higher paid employees. Closes most of the plants and completely pushes the Union out the door…….Lets see if we can all enjoy the lower prices of a GM car or truck. It wont happen, because this is 90% corporate greed.
For years, my husband tried to get on with G.M., Moraine. Back then (1970’s), they were into Affirmative Action. My husband, born in Dayton, grew up in Miami Shores. He had a high school education and two years of college. He served with the U.S.M.C. in the Vietnam War. He worked hard when he could get work. Delco Moraine would not hire him. His mother worked over thirty years at Delco Moraine. She could not get him on there. My husband saw his applications in a trash can at the plant.

Most of you just rant and rave without looking at the mind set of the American people. For the last 30 years we have been told Japanese products are better and cheaper. They have been - no longer are they either - American cars are more often cheaper and quality is equal or better in many cases. The American public doesn’t realize this or care. You people talk about GM wages - its not GM wages - Its American wages. If your in a global economy either your wages go down or thier’s go up.
Yes, I was also told that the plant would be closed by the end of 2008 by top official at GM, one of my best johns. Most of my good johns work there - I love them long time. Not sure where new johns will come from. Maybe have to move operations from behind the Treasure Island dumpster to someplace else and lower price to $11.29.
“Past tense”. You may have turned a lathe, built a sub-assembly, installed a dashboard, guess what, you didn’t do it well enough, but it “isn’t your fault”. Too late, you’re done! Your union was in bed with the hooker known as management. Honda will be hiring for their new plant in Chattanooga. “Work” is a word taken seriously by Honda. The word(“work”)is alien to many (but not all) of you GM “workers”. Honda won’t hire you. Can you fathom a guess why? U N I O N.
Sorry to all that work the GM thing…as for Moraine…well..Wheres all the money?? You have been collecting taxes from GM..and before the Frigidaire…so after 50 years of skimming off every employeee…every support company….All the mom n pop businesses…you could BUY GM…. what did we get a crappy school?…you need to open a city wide charity to help out.
Guys, remember we live in a global economy; in order for GM or any other domestic auto maker to be competititie they need to eliminate the unions. No one wants to hear this, but its true. It’s all cyclical. Unions will return again, but for now they must go for others to prosper. Sad to see so many suffer because of poor management decisions.
According to Karon, rail transit will save the earth, prevent cancer, cure insomnia, make fat people thin and thin people normal sized. I’m sure a light rail system would make all the middle-east nations fall in love with each other, gas would drop to a dime a gallon, food and healthcare would be free! Cable TV would also be free, and we would get free postage as well. Obviously, light rail would give us free clothes too! Yay Karon! Thanks for EVERYTHING FREE because of light rail!!!
We built the best parts for the best cars of our time. If you don’t think so, go to the auctions!
We supported our families and our community. We went to church on Sunday and answered telephones that hung on the wall. We send our children to college so they wouldn’t have to work in the sweat shop we had to. If you think you can do better youngin’, bring it on….I haven’t seen nothing but made in China for many years!
Let’s end all this crap here and now! For those that have never worked for GM, cram it were the sun don’t shine. You have no idea what you are talking about because you were never there. Your opinon is none of my business so keep it to your miserable self.
I worked for GM for 30 years, long before you green ear brats thought about a disposable diaper. I didn’t turn a screw, I turned a lathe. You punks may think that is something you put on your face to shave!
Mismanagement-That’s what knocked GM out! By betting on the SUV and big trucks. Now gas is through the roof and they have nothing to fall back on.This used to be a GM built town, not anymore.Last one out-Turn out the lights!
Goodness many of these post seem to be shot out of a cobra. Hate hate hate. I will pray for all you folks and ask God to bless you with rational, objective, critical thinking skills. Global economies and non stringent enviromental controls outside of the US has made third world contries quite enticing to big business. We can point fingers and name call all day long but in the end many people are going to suffer in this area and the sad thing is that many of you people are happy? sad sad sad
Watch the comments about the drunken sailors!!!! I was one once!!!! Guess what the Chinese are buying since it’s now “The People’s Republic of Capitalism”…SUV’s!!!, with fuel (prices) subsidized by their Gov’t!!! Imagine that!!! From 1997 to 2004, oil imports to the land of “Papa Ohhh Mao Mao” went up 225%. Can you do the math on supply & demand?..or will Obama pat you on the head and tell you: “It’ll be O.K., cracker”. Economic doom brought to you by The Dems. Say goodbye to your life.
I am absolutely shocked by the meanness of so many of these posts. Sounds like a lot of fear coming from some very insecure and hateful people. Are you REALLY so black hearted as to wish ill thoughts on your brothers and sisters? I appreciate what Dave D wrote. C’mon people, where is your compassion? Don’t let the anonymity of this format bring out your worst. Please.
put faith and trust in god and jesus not gm they will fail you god will never leave you or for sake you geter done for jesus god bless you all, love in chirst preacher.
The fact that YOU have a four year degree (if you really do) shows that it isn’t always that hard. Your ignorance in equating a degree with the ability to think shows that you really didn’t get much out of your education. Do you actually produce anything or do you just shuffle papers? Seriously, if you quit tomorrow, would anyone at your company even notice?
it’s about time, think of all of the energy this will save by not producing SUV’s that drink gas like a drunken sailor… We need to all start downsizing, including GM
Unfortunate, but not tragic. At least we still have the Daydream Creative Class. They’ve managed to bring five never-open-for-business art galleries into the BoringAgain District. Atta boy Bill Pout!
How incredibly sad that we in this nation are reduced to sniping at & attacking each other while the rich b@stards play golf & laugh at most of us middle class everyday folks. We are NOT each others enemies, but as long as we divide we will never conquer. Welcome to the two class American society, haves & have nots. All we ever do is engage in meaningless, black-hearted personal attacks. Don’t believe me? Just read comments here for a microcosm of what’s wrong in USA, Inc. Such vicious hate. Sad
Note to anyone waiting for any good news from loser giant corporation GM: DON!T Ignorant bloated non-progressive top-heavy management with no vision to the future has finally caught up to this monster that mistakenly arrogantly thought it was bullet-proof.

With the US becoming a third world country quickly: we all need to remain level headed and supportive of each other.
Yes, manufacturing jobs are going over seas, but so are white collar jobs! America is no longer the “super power” we once were. People are becoming collaborative oriented, and less war mongering. The US with its arrogance needs to wake up. United We Stand Divided We Fall.

I was suppose to be on the clock.I slept out in the shipping yard in trucks with the a/c running. It was the game that GM and the workers played. But with all the crap, you had to put up with, with supervision, it was a fair trade off. It seems all the people bitching are the one who are sorry they didn’t get a job at GM. 28 dollars a hour, free insurance. Now that I’m retired, after 30 years,I don’t regrat any of it.

GM made a wrong move in diversfing its business. GM did not need to go into the credit card business, home mortgage business, satellite radio business, the business focus should have stayed on the auto industry, the pulse of the buying market, and refining the products. It is painfully obvious that GM,Ford, and Chrysler LLC want taxpayer money to bail them(Oh by the this is Chrysler 2nd bailout). Even the consumers are not buying, they still make us pay for it.

Then, a year from now, when we all have one, then they can cut another shift, and we can start over. Also, for all of you who support Toyota and Honda because the “make them over here”, where do you think the money goes at the end of the day,and if there were no GM or Ford see how long it takes the Japanese to pull their plants out of the US. Unlike us, they take care of their own.

Basically, the plant turned out gas guzzlers for too long. The plant should have been re-tooled several years ago, you need to blame GM Mgt.

Pray? To who, the God of Autos? Maybe to Midas?
I say we all buy Honda. At least they build there cars here and hire Americans.
GM is run by idiots. Anyone with a brain knew SUVs were a bad idea. But not old GM, just keep turnin em out.

Please.

To onceagaingmemployeessuck,
The fact that YOU have a four year degree (if you really do) shows that it isn’t always that hard. Your ignorance in equating a degree with the ability to think shows that you really didn’t get much out of your education. Do you actually produce anything or do you just shuffle papers? Seriously, if you quit tomorrow, would anyone at your company even notice?

How incredibly sad that we in this nation are reduced to sniping at & attacking each other while the rich b@stards play golf & laugh at most of us middle class everyday folks. We are NOT each others enemies, but as long as we divide we will never conquer. Welcome to the two class American society, haves & have nots. All we ever do is engage in meaningless, black-hearted personal attacks. Don’t believe me? Just read comments here for a microcosm of what’s wrong in USA, Inc. Such vicious hate. Sad
