Bank robbery suspect identified, still on loose
HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County - The man who robbed a Fifth Third Bank at gunpoint on May 20 has been identified by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office as Drew Martin Jr.
Deputies need help in arresting Martin, 23. He is described as a light-skinned black male, about 5-foot-11 and weighing 170 pounds. He has tattoos on his chest and is considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities said he is known to ride RTA buses and hangs out in Drexel, Trotwood and west Dayton.
Martin allegedly walked into the bank in the 5700 block of North Main Street at 10:30 a.m., jumped over a bank teller counter and instructed clerks to empty their cash drawers, according to the sheriff’s office.
Martin allegedly left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and ran through woods nearby to a getaway car.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
