Memorial service shooter indicted on murder charges
DAYTON - A man police arrested for shooting at mourners attending a memorial service last month has been indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on murder charges related to another crime.
Theron E. Lewis, 23, entered a not guilty Tuesday morning, June 9, in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court to charges that he killed Isaac Gibson in a gang-related shooting at a cookout/memorial service for Thomas Tom-Tom Watson in April.

Lewis was indicted on June 4 on two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and three counts of having weapons while under disability.
Keith A. Watson who was at Tom-Tom Watson’s memorial was also indicted on one count of having weapons while under disability. Watson entered a not guilty plea to the charge on Tuesday.
Detectives said Lewis shot Gibson after the two men exchanged words at the cookout.
Lewis, who also goes by “T.Streets,” and Keith Watson, the self-proclaimed “Hooskal King” are members of a loosely organized subgroup of the Dayton View Hustlers, a gang rooted in the Dayton View neighborhood.
Dayton police said Lewis weeks later fired shots at mourners attending a funeral service for Raymond “Byrd” McDaniel. Lewis was targeting a man he believed was involved in Tom-Tom Watson’s shooting death, authorities said.
Lewis has yet to be indicted on charges related to that shooting.
Lewis is in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1 million bond and Keith Watson is being held on $100,000 bond.
Their next court appearances are scheduled for June 23.
