At least four injured in multi-vehicle accident
DAYTON - Police said the driver of a van caused a two-vehicle accident at Huffman Avenue and Fifth Street this afternoon, Nov. 11, that sent four people to the hospital and closed the intersection in all directions.
At least one of the cars involved in the accident caught fire and woman was ejected from a Chevy Camaro, police said. All four people involved in the accident suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at Miami Valley Hospital, police said.
The male driver of the van, who has not been identified, ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the Camaro which contained three women, Lt. Larry Faulkner said.
The accident shut down the intersection for more than 30 minutes and closed portions of East Fifth Street for nearly two hours, police said.
