Frosh Williams out for Duquesne game
Freshman guard Paul Williams will miss his second straight game with an inner-ear infection when Dayton plays at Duquesne on Saturday.
Williams, who is averaging 1.5 points in 9.3 minutes per game, will be cleared to start workouts on Monday, coach Brian Gregory said.
Chris Wright and London Warren, who missed practice earlier in the week because of the flu, are back at full strength.

Good luck Paul and get feeling better. I am hopeful this young man doesn’t get away from the Flyers because of his rough start to his season and lack of true playing time. Go Flyers!By Jerseyflyer

Let’s get out in front of today’s tangle with the Mighty Dukes in Pitt. Old Timers Game! Here’s my call. Dukes pack in zone and we get beat by 8.UD behind most of game after promising start but sub rotation allows few players to get into flow. Many BRICKS hurled from way beyond our range of 5-6 feet from hoop. Hoping I’m wrong but we’ll see.By Faithful Flyer

I’ll be pulling for UD, but would be surprised if they beat the Dukes. I don’t think it takes a really good team to beat the Flyers. I believe that a knowledgeable basketball fan who has watched UD play could coach an average college team to beat them. I like coach Gregory and believe that he’s a class individual. Listening to him post game, he has all the answers as to why the team is not playing better. Problem is that whatever he is doing to correct those problems doesn’t work. That’s why he needs to stop being so stubborn and change his strategy.Don’t force the players to play his way—-coach to their strengths.By Joe

Their 15-2. That is 15 wins and only 2 loses. The team has more athletic talent than any UD team I’ve seen since I started following the team in 1986. More great talent will join in over the next two years with almost no one leaving (sorry Charles). This years team will have 24+ wins and I expect at least that many if not more over the next two years. Complaining about a team being 15-2 after losing most of their offense from last year is insane. At least wait for them to lose more than one game in a row before calling for mass changes. Doesn’t anyone remember the O’Brien years? Anyone?By Kurt

Doesn’t anyone remember the O’Brien years? Anyone? <<< Yeah, my psychologist really helped me remain positive during those dark years. Every time I hear the name “O’Brien”, it sends me back into shock therapy.
