UD women ranked in Top 25 poll

The University of Dayton women’s basketball team broke into the AP Top 25 this week. The Flyers check in at No. 25 in the poll, which was released today.

It marks the first time UD has been ranked.

UD is one of two teams that were unranked last week to break into the Top 25. Georgia Tech, previously unranked, is No. 23.

UD (5-1) plays tonight, Nov. 30, at Illinois-Chicago.

Connecticut was a unanimous choice at No. 1, followed by Stanford, Ohio State, North Carolina and Notre Dame.

so the men’s team gets a huge article when they get in the top 25, but the women get this? really DDN?? guess all you care about is men’s basketball. you are sending a great message to the young girls in the Dayton area.

Flyerhoopsfan Do you understand how DDN online works? The will first post the story as soon as it breaks even with little info. They will treat this like a living article where they will update it until it is a full story to be published in print form early in the morning. I don’t understand why people bash DDNonline about grammical errors and little info when it is obvious on how it is used.

Thanks for posting the news. They’ve been playing like a top 25 team since their first game/victory over Michigan State. Really wish there was more coverage of the Lady Flyers. Or, maybe not. I sit court side and watch great basketball.

Did anyone else see that St Joe’s got beat by Rider? I’ll say it right now, St Joe’s is pathetic.

I just knew Jim Jabir was going to turn the program around. Got close to both him and BG when they came in together, and was actually more impressed with Jabir as far as first impressions go. I agree this is a pretty pathetic article for a program cracking the Top 25 for the first time EVER!…
