Alabama coming to Dayton this season

Dayton has agreed to a two-year home-and-home series with Alabama, starting in the 2011-12 season at UD Arena.

The Flyers will play three BCS opponents at home next season with Seton Hall and Ole Miss coming to the arena.

The last team from one of the six power conferences to come to Dayton was No. 6 Pittsburgh on Dec. 29 2007. The Flyers rolled to an 80-55 victory.

The Crimson Tide, who will meet the Flyers on Dec. 7, are coached by former UD standout Anthony Grant.

NYC- I’ll take UD and points. Grant did not take Bama to the Promised Land last year. The coach that gets the most from his players will win. There is a new type of basketball in town. BG ball is obsolete. The hockey rotations are gone. CJ could be most improved in A10 again!

nyc, way to put a class individual like Anthony Grant in the middle of this conversation. Why don’t you take your Raleigh “the felon” Trammel funny hat and stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Along with the teams in the spice classic and these three bcs schools the schedule should be pretty tough and can afford a few patsies. Good luck flyers now lets get more recruits, hated to lose Gibson to Iowa State though.

NYC…haven’t been on the site in a while, figured I would check it out to see if the level of many of the posts has improved. Well you answered that with a resounding “no” right off the bat. Don’t need to go into the reasons BG’s regime ended badly…but let’s not forget when he was hired he was universally regarded as one of the top, if not the top assistants available. But you’re right…it couldn’t have been that, it had to be racism. I’m sure you are not pleased with the Archie hiring either, as Bruiser Flint I’m sure was a much stronger candidate.

The only way UD would take this game is to play at home where they are assured of the home cookin’ officiating. That’s the only way they can win.

Finally a BCS school!!! I am so tired of Xavier being our Super Bowl. We finally have a real Super Bowl against a BCS school. Go Flyers!

How can this be … Kollars, Nagel, McClelland? Another solid example of UD avoiding a home and away with Wright State to schedule a cupcake at UD arena. Yes this is sarcasm. Continue the good scheduling Wabler. If WSU wants a single road buy game at UD then they can have it. DDN report it correctly.

Boy did Staten mess up ! His new coach leaves for Navy, because he felt no respect from the administration, he also is taking a $200,000 pay cut @ Navy.

All u haters on Juwan Staton forget some important facts. Mel Staton, WW Pilot will thump u. He does not appreciate all the hate on his last name He is not even related to Juwan. 2.Coach Bill Staton has forgot more about hoops than most of u know. 3. Juwan came here to bring UD out of mediocrity. 4. DPS kids get screwed at UD. This will stop under Archie “Bunker” Miller.
