Spearman going to junior college

Former Dayton shooting guard Brandon Spearman announced on his Twitter account that he’ll attend Indian Hills Community College in Iowa.

The 6-foot-3 Chicago native appeared in all 36 games for the Flyers last season, averaging 2.5 points while playing 10.9 minutes per game. He shot 41.2 percent on 3-pointers but just 30.8 percent overall.

Juwan Staten, Spearman’s roommate at UD, also left the team after the season, transferring to Penn State.
