CBS picks up A-10 title game again

The Atlantic 10 announced the formats for its various championships after its spring athletic directors meetings, and the biggest news is that CBS-TV has agreed to pick up the tourney final in men’s basketball again this season.

That’s a coup for the league. The CBS contract was originally for just two years, which concluded last season. To have the game on network TV as part of the run up to the NCAA tournament selection show will give the A-10 great exposure.

The format for the tourney will remain the same. Twelve of the 14 teams qualify. First-round games are at campus sites. And the first four seeds get byes for the quarterfinals in Atlantic City.

Bad choice Carroll boy! I put out operation rolling thunder yesterday. Coach Archie, I am just joshing (Marshal u. Kevin Dillard is a malcontent that all u baffones blame Wanie. Coach Lowery at SIU is very classy, and a winner. BG only took him to fill a hole. I hate this for JP. Great heart. JP, transfer to James Madison.

This blog grows more rediculous every day. Donny, DDN not trying to rev up the fans. Only reporting news. UD will again be in the top 30 in attendance in 2011-2012 season. Real fans don’t need a newspaper to get them fired up. We just stay that way. Yes we are excited about the upcoming season whatever it brings.

What will be more surprising then CBS picking up the A-10 game is if these Flyers even make it to Atlantic City. More exposure for XU and Richmond….(sarcastic) yeah.
